The Neighbors is a story about a trio of siblings who are each also witches.
It is set in the modern day but with a folkloric twist, as the cast deals with the magical Otherworld, home of the Fae, and origin of all magic.

This is my first attempt at actually starting a webcomic, and it is intended as a stress reliever for myself, so updates will happen whenever they happen with no set schedule.
The story is mostly improvised as I go because this project is really entirely just for me to have fun with.

Content warnings.
In the interest of not spoiling the whole comic, I will not be providing an in-depth list of warnings for the entire thing.
However, some themes you can and should expect include: mental illness, self hatred, violence, death, war, loss of autonomy, manipulation, divorce, child abuse (emotional), transphobia, homophobia, & ableism.
Additionally, there will be swearing.
(By "violence," I mean there will be visible blood, but don't worry about guts or anything too gruesome.)
And there will definitely be bright colors and use of eyestrain-y effects like chromatic aberration.
Personally, I'd say this comic is 14+, but your mileage may vary and I don't really know how to rate stuff properly. This comic is just along the lines of stuff I was into at that age.
Overall this story is intended to be safe for teens and up, so don't expect anything too extreme, there won't be any gore or slurs or whatnot. However it will deal with serious themes! I will do my very best to handle all of these subjects with the grace they deserve.

Call me Winter or Magpie! My pronouns are he/they/it. I'm a queer and neurodivergent artist from Canada interested in exploring queerness and neurodivergence in my work!
My writing is very character focused, so please don't be too surprised if there are gaps or inconsistencies in the worldbuilding, as my stories aren't really about the world they're set in 😅 (I'm allergic to worldbuilding, sorry)

I'm still learning! I've never made a webcomic before, hell, I've never even really put my writing out there online minus like one fanfiction several years ago that will go unnamed. I'm not a professional level writer or artist! This comic might drag sometimes, it might outright suck sometimes, but it's mine and I'm having fun. I've always found learning by doing works best for me, so this comic is largely to learn so I can do more "serious" projects in the future!
