I know some blogs are particular about this and I personally don't like taking the time to answer if the other person isn't going to reply. So, please try to remember this when interacting with me (I will add this to my rules when I have the time). Anything with "#meme" doesn't necessarily mean it has to be threaded. I tag things as meme when I don't expect a reply. Short interactions are fine, but not necessarily long threads (I mean, we can turn them into threads if you want but I don't expect it if that makes any sense).

🍁   He looked to the man pressed up beside him. Their temporary shelter from the storm gave the two of them little room to move, but the battle-worn Shinobi had to admit that it was nice having a living, breathing person beside him once more...not to mention the warmth it brought. He only hoped he wouldn’t disturb the stranger with his prosthetic arm.   “I do not mind.”

The Commander gave him a small nod. Placing the pouch to where he had got it, gazing at his new ally, his Shinobi. It seemed too good to be true but the man was generous enough to be his. Even with the other individuals, the Shinobi was a good addition to it. Most likely will be placed to guard him as it should be. The Interior Ministry will not expect this.

“Good good.” Voice low with a sigh. “And you will. I always keep my end of the bargain….as long as you do as well. Now I will let my people know to not attack you. You’ll be allowed to roam free within and outside of this castle.”

He turned as he was about to take his leave. To let the other rest for the day as there was much to be done. This arrangement almost seemed to have lifted some of the stress off of his shoulders. Still, he shouldn’t be so ready to trust him quite soon. He may have submitted right now, but who knows what he will have in mind later when the time comes.

“But if you were to see any suspicious activity, rats as my grandfather says, do not hesitate to exterminate them. Is that understood?”

🍁   It seemed the two of them had an understating, for The Wolf didn’t have any reason to go against his word. Not yet. The Shinobi answered Genichiro with a subtle nod and followed him with his gaze. It was difficult to tell what he was thinking by the somber look he wore, most likely surprising the Commander with his next request: “If it is all the same to you, Master, I would acquire a resting space close to your personal quarters.” He paused to allow Genichiro  to process this before continuing. “To inform you of the rats.” And so that I may keep an eye on you... Wolf didn’t vocalize that part out loud.

The young lord really needed it. It sounded quite selfish that he had his Shinobi hug him. But he was the only one he was able to trust with his life. The only one he felt that he wouldn’t be so afraid to have him so close by. If his parents did not die at the Hirata Estate, he would be safe in their arms. But he was still grateful for having someon like Wolf. It was hard to find someone so genuine as him.

Kuro sighed, cheek resting on the man’s chest as his thin arms wrapped around him. He felt so safe. Safe the terrible world they were thrown in.

“Thank you, Wolf.” His voice shook slightly. “I feel better now. I’m sorry for asking something so selfish from you.”

He threw him a smile, trying to cover the fact that his voice trembled. Kuro didn’t want his Shinobi to worry about him when he had other things to do.

🍁   Still, the man remained on his knees, arms gradually falling to his sides as he watched his young charge carefully. After all the time spent together, he had gotten to know Kuro fairly well. The boy was still unable to mask such insecurity from him, for the Shinobi could see past the smile. “Do not apologize, My lord.” Wolf answered in his usual monotone. He felt a sense of loss once Kuro pulled away. “It is not selfish to seek aid.”

        The Gunslinger was becoming a bit drunk, but not as much as his new friend here. It was funny to see someone who would be so willing to drink with him.  Running his hands through his hair, he picked up the hat that rested on the chair next to him. Slowly standing up to make sure he was able to walk instead of toppling over like a drunk buffoon.

        ❝ I don’t know what ya said but right back at ya. ❞

        Sighing as he decided that he might as well carry the other. Leaving him alone to sober up in a tavern that they don’t know didn’t seem like a good idea. With a huff, he grabbed the man’s arm, having him stand before he gently slung him over his shoulder. He was much lighter than he initially thought before.

        ❝ I gotcha. Just don’t puke on my back, ya hear? ❞

🍁 There was only a slight struggle of resistance as Wolf placed all his weight on the chair. The Shinobi wouldn't normally tolerate being lifted or handled of any kind, but because he was so intoxicated he felt his senses were off; the world was spinning intensively around him, his limbs refused to cooperate.

Another grumble...softer this time as Jesse lifted him, and Wolf didn't offer any protest as his body draped limply across the other man's shoulder. The prosthetic arm he had been careful to hide, never giving any explanation for its existence, dangled at McCree's front. Had the Shinobi been aware, he would have tried slipping it under his yukata. Instead, the Gunslinger was given probably the first good view of it since meeting the one-armed warrior.

❝ i can’t remember the last time i did this with someone. ❞

🍁  “Hnn.” Only a quiet grumble answered the Gunslinger while the Shinobi lay with his cheek on the table. Half-passed out, Wolf couldn’t believe that he had allowed this to happen...what should have been an innocent trip to the tavern turned into a contest to see who could handle the strongest whisky on the menu. The Wolf had already failed miserably, mumbling something incoherent--probably in Japanese.
