“Keep sassin’ me, pal, and I’ll make it Sunday after next.” He was laughing now, though, unable to help himself as Steve tried to stretch out. He turned his attention to the slowly moving traffic briefly, sighing some.
“Yeah, it’s letting up.” He agreed, feeling relieved. “Although, it still would not have let up soon enough for me to avoid peeing out of the car.” He mumbled with a proud smirk. He might regret that later, but for now, it was worth it. If only for the laughter.
Steve somehow managed to look even more pleased with himself than he had before, and that was saying something. The laughter, though, earned a squint and a sniff off to the side. Steve’s eyes focused on the traffic as it moved, albeit a bit slowly.
He laughed, startled and bright, when Bucky mentioned peeing out of the car. He wasn’t going to forget that any time soon, and he was pretty sure all the drivers who had witnessed it would be talking about it for a good long while, too. “Uh huh. That’s what you tell yourself, Buck.” He inched forward a bit and kept the car rolling forward slowly as the line in front of him moved slowly forward. When he spotted the exit, he put on his turn signal. “We’re getting off of here before you have to pee again,” he joked.
Bucky sat silently for a bit, staring out the window. It was nice out. Sucked that they wound up spending so much time in the car, but at least they were not just cooped up inside? Small mercies, he thought to himself, eyes flicking back over to Steve.
He huffed some. As if he would need to per again. He was not some little kid. True, maybe he could not hold it forever, but he had been holding that all day! What did Steve expect. “Shut your trap, Punk. I had to go. As if you wouldn’t have done the same thing.”
