Vultures gather around a freshly killed impala, while a spotted hyena feeds selfishly. The vultures will only get their chance once the hyena has eaten its fill and moved off. We were fairly certain the hyena had stolen the carcass from a leopard, a reminder of how competition never stops in the African wild. Moments like this show the raw balance of nature at work.
