My path began in 2016 after rewatching "Barbie: The Pearl Princess", I wanted to make posts about this movie. I’ve always loved Barbie but before she stayed in the shadow of other fandoms. Why "The Pearl Princess"? It’s simple! This movie became my favourite in the Barbie franchise. I managed to do a lot but eventually I was disappointed with the results and deleted everything. Other interests swallowed me up again — until a year later, I was suddenly hit by crazy nostalgia for the times I watched "Magic of the Pegasus", "Mermaidia", "The Princess and the Pauper" with delight, and got the most beautiful dolls from my parents for birthday... I hesitated for a long time about creating a community again, not knowing how to do it in a way that I’d like. But Lumina from "The Pearl Princess" had already become an integral part of me and my life. All my friends started calling me Lu — I’d become so intertwined with her personality! She greatly influenced my worldview and my tastes. At first, she instilled in me a love for pastel colours (yes, her movie is bright and colourful, like all Barbie movies from those years but her aesthetic is pure tenderness) and for pink and white things. Based on my inner changes, I created the community in the form it has now. That was in 2018. And yet, at first it was just an unremarkable thought to post pictures based on your favorite movie but every year this concept grew into a solid idea, and eventually it became so tangible that you can touch it! Lumina, by her very existence, taught me to love the world in all its colours. She continues to teach me not to let negativity into my heart and to let go of negative people in my life. “You Can Be Anything” Barbie told me, and I wanted to be a loving mermaid ♡ My inner changes later reflected in my appearance: I completely transformed my style. And what started as an internet hobby grew into collecting. My sanctuary of the Pearl Princess has now been around for eight years, and how amazingly and irrevocably this place has changed me! No, it revealed me to myself. Oddly enough, my other interests (and I have many) didn’t go away but since 2017, Barbie has been and will remain my top priority. My community had more than two hundred posts with Lumina and her friends. After five years, I moved to another social network and started mixing in content about my own things and new additions to my collection.
