A note on my status as ficto
Because i've had this boundary crossed repeatedly on multiple platforms, i'm going to actually dive into this now and hopefully give more context.
I selfship and do OC x Canon for fun and as a hobby, but i am also fictoromantic, and these are separate things. I am aromantic and repulsed towards (irl) romance. I experience no romantic attraction to real people and no desire for romantic relationships whatsoever. My being ficto is the only channel where this type of attraction occurs for me. As such, i take it more seriously than most.
The ONLY character i have a ficto relationship with is Consul Valerius from The Arcana, and i can be very uncomfortable with "doubles," as they are typically called.
THIS IS ULTIMATELY MY RESPONSIBILITY AND NO ONE ELSE'S. I block tags when they show up and block accounts whose main focus is on ship content including Valerius. I also tag everything with my own ship as #woollymoth so that anyone who i acknowledge might have the same boundaries i do (or are just annoyed by it, dw that's cool) can easily filter out those posts. I will NEVER directly confront anyone unless they are deliberately and repeatedly going out of their way to send me or talk to me about the content that i have already explained is upsetting to me.
This ultimately may seem like a silly boundary, and i understand because i feel silly about it too, but it's something i would really like to be respected. When it comes to romantic relationships, this is literally the closest thing i will ever have, and that's important to me.
And to reiterate, i try to be as reasonable as i can, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out and ask :)
