Greymoor was once a Place of Much Farming? Why not try making a Farm Here and Renew that Profession? The Environment has seen Better Days but I think if you just get some Good Water and Soil Imported You can Do It! Get some stuff from the Moss Grotto!
Hmm...
Well, y'know, maybe..? It'd be real hard to get the necessary supplies, but-
Crey, are you stupid? Did you forget about the massive flying angry mite that would definitely eat or destroy any crop we tried to grow?
[Yerk saw a Vicious Caranid lazily flying close to the ground.]
[They looked to be in terrible condition. A blue vine was wrapped around their shell, piercing their mask. Their stinger was hanging off by aforementioned vine, too.]
[@vicious-caranid]
The hell's up with you? An' why are ya covered in a bunch o' blue shit?

A green mantis approached the three bugs with a worried expression. Looks like they’re stressed about something.
“Excuse me for distracting you from your… holy work… But I need your help, bugs three. My friend is in dire need of someone to help them from a very dangerous infection. Do you have any information on a bug known as ‘The Knight’ or ‘Ghost?’ They are a warrior of… some kind. If not, then I still thank you for listening to my ask.”
@a-verdanian-mantis
Why aren't you a funny lookin' one! Naw though, we ain't heard o' no ghosts or knights. An' we're definitely not the best fer help with any sorta infection, last we had o' those almost all of us kicked the ol' bucket!
SICK? TAKE
[Yerk hands the mantis a dish of cut up Mites and Craws. It looks disgusting, but cuisine isn't exactly pretty in the Moors.]
Oh no, not for fun at all. The Citadel has us doing free labor for them, collecting and repurposing all of the silk they get rid of. It's consumed our entire life, we had a chance to leave a while back when the Moorwing was felled, and we did do some exploring don't get me wrong, but we always returned right back to these here moors. It almost feels wrong, sinful even, to do anything but toil.
Nowadays the Moorwing is back, so no more travel sadly. Most of our coworkers were victims of the silk-sickness, and the Citadel stopped sending new workers ages ago. I'm actually the only raker left, the silk-sickness got both of my parents and my older brother.
I'll occasionally hum some tunes while working, though most of the time I'm silent, I'm not really a fan of noise. Crey rambles to himself, and I'm not sure what Yerk does.
"o.. so you're just... trapped here? do you get to do anything else that isn't catchin silk? I'm sorry your family got taken.. I think I have siblings that are gone too.. what's the silk-sickness? why d'you work with silk if it's bad for you??"
"I'll try to keep my jingles quiet, then. don't wanna bother you...! heh he.. I.. could also stop talking.."
Nah don't sweat it, I don't really get to chat much so this is nice.
But yeah, we're trapped here tending to the silk. I wish we could do anything else but I value my life more.
How do you not know what the silk-sickness is? I've heard it called the Haunting if that rings a bell? Heh, rings a bell.
Anyways, it was basically a type of plague, an infection if you will. It snared the minds of those it haunted, ridding them of themselves in a way. Real scary stuff. Though, it sort of just disappeared a while back, no clue why.
It was real scary, certainly not a fun time to be around.
I have no clue who this "Father" is, but I'm pretty sure the silk-sickness was started by some "Mother", though I don't know for certain.
Me and Crey were both born into work, though Yerk is old enough to remember life before. We haven't really gotten much out of him though, I don't really think he likes talking about it.
