that’s the craziest thing about “taylor is mediocre” and even worse “taylor is comfortable being mediocre” because she obviously has immense natural talent but also very clearly works her ass off to improve at the things that she feels she’s not reaching her full potential at. her vocal improvement is ridiculous and she doesn’t get enough credit for it.

CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! taylor would rather die than be mediocre and has done unspeakable things to herself in the name of perfection. this is like, her #1 most prominent trait - she will stop at nothing to defeat external criticism of herself, and go even further to beat back internal critique. and i have so much respect for the fact that, especially recently, she is not at all shy about owning up to how hard she works and shattering the myth of effortlessness. go girl! get better at stuff!!!!
