hi hereâs a cool bird I betcha didnât know existed, âšthe wallcreeperâš
it literally looks like a monarch butterfly itâs so cute
mountain chicken - white tailed ptarmigan
These bring so much nostalgia to me. I mean, there's sunlight.

Always a fan of taking a pigeon photo and finding they're all in focus except for one operating at warp speed
the lazuli kingfisher is a member of the kingfisher family found in the indonesian islands of seram, ambon, and haruku. they are reclusive birds who arenât overly social, often spending time singly or in pairs. both sexes are brightly colored, but females have a bright blue chest and belly, while malesâ chests are a stark white. they are found in subtropical and tropical forest habitat, where they are unfortunately threatened by habitat loss. they primarily feed on grasshoppers and beetles.
guess who got accidentally smushed flat onto my desk because she silently sat by my right hand and is the perfect shape of a computer mouse

the hazel grouse, also known as the hazel hen, is a small member of the grouse family found across the palearctic as far east as hokkaido, and as far west as central europe. as is typical for gamebirds, the female (hen) raises a clutch of 3-6 chicks without assistance from the male. they prefer damp deciduous forest habitat, preferably with a high percentage of spruce. they primarily feed on plants with the exception of a heavy increase in insect consumption during the breeding season. the sexes can be distinguished by a few features; males have a short erectile crest (shorter in females), and a white-bordered black throat that females lack.
-Voices-
A collection of portraits depicting the voices from Slay the Princess, taking inspiration from the style of the video game Disco Elysium! The Voice of the Hero, a knight, an iconic silhouette against a luminant halo. A color palette of black, blue, and teal.
The Voice of the Hunted, a beast trying to protect its heart from danger, represented here as a crosshair.
The Voice of the Smitten, the knife wound letting loose lovely streams of swirling bodily juices into the air.
The Voice of the Cold, dark, and angular. Something completely unafraid to kill.
The Voice of the Skeptic, attempting to fly, tearing himself away from chains and what looks like his own body.
The Voice of the Paranoid, Frantic and multi-eyed, clutching at a wound.
The Voice of the Contrarian, flying in stark contrast to the others, glowing instead of secluded, a mischievous fairy or will o' the wisp, instead of a grotesque figure.
The Voice of the Broken, shattered and leaking. A humanoid figure is no longer recognizable.
The Voice of the Stubborn, Fiery eyes, and big meaty claws. The brushwork is chaotic.
The Voice of the Cheated, smoke leaking from puncture wounds still embedded within him. He's holding a cigar, too; probably where all the smoke is coming from.
The Voice of the Opportunist, carrying multiple masks on his person, and wielding a poorly concealed knife.
And finally (for now) The Long Quiet itself, the night sky, swirling sigils blurred in the dark.
A tutorial on meatspace I made for my patrons last year! Making things exist in the same space believably is a difficult process, but hopefully this will help drawing softbodied subjects interacting together a little easier!
This branch is all mine!!
the white-tailed ptarmigan, also known as the snow quail, is a mountainous-dwelling bird and the smallest member of the grouse family. they are found at high altitudes in the continental united states, canada, and alaska. they have distinct âcrypticâ plumage, meaning that their plumage differs drastically throughout the year; during warm summers, they are speckled brown and black, going through an intermediary mottled phase before fully molting into their snow-white winter plumage. they primarily feed on insects and plant matter. their eggs are laid in a simple depression in the ground; the chicks are precocial and leave the nest soon after hatching.
we're running out of time to fuck it we ball....
