She looked up at him trough her eyelashes. “I wasn’t complain, Derek. Please understand me. ” Once he sat down next to her, she moved closer leaning in against his chest. The girl sighed heavy and closed her eyes. “I’ve been gone for more than five hundred years. I’m sorry that I’m not easy. I’ve forgot how good it felt to be held in your arms. I’ve forgot how amazing it felt to be kissed by you. I’ve forgot how it is to be human, and my sense’s are barely awake. I’m sorry. “
Paige gulped down her sorrow. She felt a need to apologize to him that she couldn’t be what he wanted for her to be - not yet. She was as fragile as a flower, and she needed him to help her grow. She knew what he wanted, but she wasn’t sure if she would be able to give it to him. Paige died as sixteen year old, so what did she knew ? She was afraid to disappoint him in any kind of way, and her insecurities was showing trough her.
"I’m sorry." The girl whispered, letting out another sigh.
He wrapped one of his arms around her, bringing her closer as he rested his head on hers, catching the sweet smell of her hair. "I don't want you to be easy, Paige. I just don't want to make you uncomfortable, that's why I backed off. You don't have to apologize for anything, I understand" he said, placing one soft kiss on the top of her head.
He hushed her as he hugged her tightly "Shh... You don't need to apologize, love. It's absolutely fine, I get it" he said as his arms carressed hers, trying to calm her from her sorrow. He just wanted her to smile again, to light up his world with her warm eyes. He didn't care about anything else and he cursed himself for making her feel so bad she had the need to apologize. She never had to do that, he understood her. He was being the stupid one.
