I read a Solangelo royalty AU fic, where Nico was a thief and Will was a prince. I'm pretty sure Nico stole Will's scarf at some point, Will's father's brooch, some of Will's jewelry, but not Will's mother's pendant or necklace (one of the two).
I want to find this fic because it was really nice, and because I want to continue reading it (I don't think I finished it). I think the title was something like "--- stole your heart" (the dashes are unknown words) or something like that.
If you don't find it, that's Okay, and I'll appreciate your efforts.

Nico is a thief, and Will is a prince, and they are very doomed. Really, it probably started when Nico robbed the king. Or maybe when he winked at the prince from across the marketplace. Or maybe when he orchestrated thrilling castle escapes, humiliating the royal family and guard without so much as breaking a sweat. Or, maybe it was just when he first noticed that Prince William is incredibly handsome. Yeah, that's probably what doomed them, actually--because after that, any hope of living relatively normal lives flew completely out the carriage window. But hey--Nico /is/ a thief after all, so maybe it's not so shocking that he'd steal Will's heart, too.

I am not going to lie you guys, I think judging based on the outline + a couple extended metaphors I've got planned out, I think this one is going to be really fucking good. Of course that does hinge on my ability to pull it off! But the premise is really strong. I'm definitely leaning in to their spookier powers. Like, instead of describing Will's light as being "the Sun" it'll probably be something more crooked like the gleam off a scalpel. i am having so much fun w this ngl very excited to show you guys!

Oooooo that's a difficult one! Definitely @willthespy as my absolute favorite! I'm not on Tumblr a whole lot but every time I am, I get wonderful serotonin boosts from their art. His Nico design is frankly wonderful and possibly my favorite ever :)
For non-solangelo stuff, honestly the main other thing I use Tumblr for is fan content of Jean Moreau from All For The Game. He is a very similar archetype to Nico, imo, and you may enjoy fanart made of him and his partner Jeremy Knox if you check the tags for those characters, even if you haven't read the books :)
I will do some thinking on the other artists whose creations I really adore! I do not follow that many people on here because Tumblr is a wilderness I am not yet totally accustomed to haha, so I'm still sort of trying to find accounts I like too!

Hello I felt bad for quitting all my recent art pieces and therefore not posting anything so therefore I'm posting some art I made last year for a vision board for a video game I really wanted to make. this one is "Neanderthal's Fate" and it's from one of the ending plot points of the third chapter of the video game. Unfortunately I never got as far as creating this chapter bc I struggle with 3d character design and there are, I kid you not, zero (0) good quality female neanderthal assets online (compared to Many Male Options Everywhere) (i'm coping with the realization that i either need to spend a million years learning 3d human asset design or i need to do this 2d) (and learn pixel art) (which I've never done before either) (someone save me from this hell)
Does anyone have any good references for hair that's like Jenson Endo coded? But maybe just a bit wavy/curlier? I'm back trying to draw Nico di Angelo with long hair and unfortunately I think I've determined maybe I would struggle less if I had different references?
Okay so not to like be complaining all the time but I just got the second AI-made comment in a month and quite frankly I think something needs to be said about it. I'm sure it's either a bot everyone is dealing with or a reader who doesn't know what to say so they just use AI to make their comments for them but oh my god if the latter is the case I need to emphasize how much I need people to stop leaving me AI comments.
They mean nothing. The whole point of leaving a comment is to encourage the author and express your thoughts or enjoyment of the chapter. A bot or an LLM have no thoughts or enjoyment of my chapter and nothing they say could possibly have any meaning here. If you're going to use a bot or an LLM to leave positive comments, just don't leave comments at all. It is the same thing with much less irritation on the author's side. It's sort of insulting that I put time into my chapters and the result is comments that could only have been made by a bot or LLM.
And before I get people who are like "it might not be an LLM! It could just be [insert one of the many demographics whose writing is commonly mistaken for AI]"--I do have very solid evidence that that is not the case based on two things:
- first, nothing in this user's comments is ever specific. "Every time I read your words, I feel like I’ve stepped into a place where imagination and truth meet perfectly." is one I got today. On a chapter with no really touching themes and which they allegedly already read two weeks ago when I got the first bot comment bc it was left on the same chapter after I deleted their first one. It's not a chapter that really touches the soul or sparks imagination or anything dude it's just Will talking to his dad. Not exactly the pinnacle of imagination. This comment could be left on any fic on AO3 (or any poem in any journal, or any book in any library, etc etc) and has absolutely nothing that implies they actually read the story bc they didn't.
- second, same user on the same chapter of the same fic left "The depth in your story made it easy to connect with." This one is the biggest teller that it's not just someone struggling with words because they left it on an early chapter of Stealing Your Heart where there was no depth yet!! Stealing Your Heart starts out fun and superficial about a prince who thinks the village thief is hot, and the thief likes to tease him. There is no depth to speak of yet. There is nothing there. This is like if someone posted a black and white sketch and I commented 'I love your use of colors to bring spirit into the piece!" There's nothing there yet!!
So I'm very sure that it's a bot or a user asking ChatGPT what to comment and honestly if it's the second one that pisses me off more than if it's the first lol.
Don't leave AI comments. It's an insult to the work and the author, period. When it was just one comment I assumed it was a random bot that happened to get my work but now that it's happened again I felt I had to say something about it bc it's genuinely upsetting to me.
I'm just going to keep deleting them but frankly it has pissed me off so I needed to say something.

And the answer is yes I do like tiramisu however I actually liked the posts to save them for my friend who is a tiramisu fiend. She's on this website somewhere but we keep our accounts secret from each other bc we're both authors on AO3 and don't want the other person to see our work. And historically we've been in...all the same fandoms. I actually happen to know she has run into this account before without knowing it was mine bc of things she has sent me before lol
But anyway without knowing her account I can't send them directly so I like them instead so I can send her links to them later lol
So that is my reason for the excessive tiramisu post liking HOWEVER I do also greatly enjoy a tiramisu. I raise a counter point though: strawberry shortcakes (need to make one, haven't stopped thinking about them recently)

Hello it occurs to me I never told you guys I wrote another book. I'm attempting to put it on Barnes & Noble's self publishing system (but will likely add it to Amazon later bc I'm unsure how Barnes & Noble works internationally but I do know Amazon's process for that) but before I can do that I need to make sure there aren't any errors.
In summary: I switched the POV of the entire story from first person alternating to third person limited alternating. This is obviously a major change with high risk for errors left behind.
Was wondering if anybody would be willing to read through it as a beta reader and let me know if you catch any errors? I can discuss details about that if anyone is interested but for now here's a book summary for in case that affects anyone's opinions:
- female lead: a "witch" named Rieka Rovara hiding her true identity in a crooked deal she made to protect her family after her parents died and the world fell apart. Her nation has been ravaged by a weapon called the Arsenal, which is owned by the Council (the new government); the Arsenal has taken countless lives, leaving entire cities burned to dust. Rieka is going to kill the Arsenal. Until she meets him, realizes he is not at all the monster the stories say he is, and breaks him out of the Council's control. The story is dual timeline; in part one, Rieka tells the present tense timeline where she is in her mid 20s and dealing with all of the stuff I just mentioned. In part two, the POV swaps, and Rieka tells the past timeline of her childhood before her parents died, as it turns out the past has a lot of answers that feed into the present.
- male lead: the Arsenal. He is the monster in your fairytales. He is the most powerful being to ever walk the earth. And he is telling you the past timeline in part one, but his memories don't always add up, and he seems to be clinging to any clue that implies he was ever happy. He has never seen the sky or the sun, and he has never felt dirt or spoken to another child. He yearns fervently for a life he cannot have. However, his memories are falling apart faster and faster, and one night, when he recounts them to a new friend, they shatter entirely. In part two, the Arsenal tells the present tense timeline as he tries to reckon with the past that he has lost.
It's a love story. It's the "sad pathetic man gets saved by cool buff woman" trope. Unreliable narrators. Werewolves. Childhood friends to separated by tragic events to lovers. Funny sibling dynamics in part 2 when the sibling characters are introduced. I wrote it for my sister, so I tried generally to include her favorite tropes. I'm sure there are more I'm missing.
If anyone would be willing to beta read for me let me know! I'd be willing to offer something in return, though what that is might depend on what the beta reader would want :)

Sorry I haven't been as active on here recently; I got kind of frustrated with my art recently bc I was working on Nico With Long Hair for a while and failed to get the hair right and then also I was working on Jean Moreau from All For The Game and accidentally deleted a layer that had a lot of the work I did on Jean's hands :/ which is frustrating. And I keep getting halfway through fic chapters and getting stuck. Honestly, I think I'm starting the chapters in the wrong place and that's why I keep hitting a wall on that. Which probably means I'll have to start over from scratch on all of them. Which is also annoying. But all of this is to say I haven't had a lot to post about recently, as my projects keep having issues

Anyway I missed my flight + had a bag (including my drivers license and money) stolen + the police were so useless it actually blew my mind. I didn't even know a person could be THAT bad at problem solving until I met them
But I got free coffee and chocolates from the gift shop employees who felt bad for me and I have a new flight booked back to my home country now so I'm no longer stranded on another continent lmao
