I NEED people to actually pay attention to Toby's use of very distinct Devil/Angel dichotomy imagery in both Deltarune and Undertale. Asgore is the Devil, he's the king of an underworld of magic monsters, fire horns red trident, steals children's souls, very obvious. Chara, the demon that comes when you call its name, the Fallen Human, cast into the infernal pit, Fallen Angel Imagery, Asriel, named after the Angel of Death (God of Hyperdeath), becomes the Delta Rune Angel, the Angel is also the Demon, Chara the Demon, The Fallen Human, Asriel the Angel, The (literally and figuratively) Risen Monster. The role of the Angel and the Devil is thematically split between three, four, or five characters depending on how you want to see it. Asgore, Asriel, Chara, and maybe Frisk and the Player/Soul. And then there is fucking Gaster who has all 666 stats for some reason.
Why is it specifically red horn headbands Kris is described as having, whereas their childhood best friend wore an Angel Costume? Why is that parallel not just called upon but exist? King calls Kris Lightbringer, like fucking Lucifer the Light Bringer, the Fallen Angel, The Devil. Ralsei like Asgore and Asriel has horns and fire magic but is also a Prince from the Dark, Prince like Satan is a Prince, from the Dark, like the Depths, Hell's Roar Bubbles From The Depths, Hell. Gaster is here too also so cool the soul might also be the Angel again. And Susie is The Dragon. Ralsei and the Dreemurr's also have not only Paws but also Fangs, they're not goats, goats don't have Paws or Fangs, they're Dragons, mammalian dragons but also dragons. Asgore is a Dragon in a Mountain surrounded by Gold(en flowers). Okay? Name in Red, ASGORE, is set up as a traditional fantasy antagonist. Susie though is also literally called The Dragon. The Devil is frequently called a Dragon. Jevil's Devil Motif and Spamton also having an Angel motif? All of the Delta Warriors have demonic motifs EXCEPT NOELLE. SHE has Very Specifically Called Out Angel motifs. The Delta Warriors are Demons, Dragons, Devils, Lightbringers, Lucifers, Fallen into Darkness, banishing The Angel's Heaven. Okay? Just keep that in mind please.
