It's so weird to read European say that "the US has no culture" like to beleive that you need to 1 erase all native cultures and people like we did for centuries 2 erase every link deported enslaved people have with their histories (again like our ancestors actually tried to) and 3 think that as an immigrant you loose all links to your culture of origin 4 think that 18th/19th/20th century are not "old enough" to count as history, as if 95% of "European traditions" are not from these periods as well (just think of how many "national dish" use potatoes or tomatoes)
