I finished the first War with no Name book and I’m on the second! I wanted to have the book cover for Mort(e) be my phone paper but all the photos I found were too blurry so I made my own and decided I would make wall papers for all the covers while I was at it

If this sounds far fetched it’s pretty much the plot to Mort(e) (War with No Name, #1), by Robert Repino.

The main character, Mort(e), is a house cat that has mutated to human proportions in the aftermath of a colony of giant ants declaring war on humanity. Check it out from your local library.

Hey it’s like 2am but I just have to tell you guys about this book I just finished “mort(e)”

Its about a war between humans and giant ants, who have genetically reengineered all animals to become sentient and take on the abilities of humans.

The plot centers around a housecat turned war hero searching for his best friend, the neighbor’s dog, amidst the chaos of a war to end humanity.

This book has an amazing plot, with an opening that nearly brought me to tears in the middle of the barnes and noble.

The plot may sound all action, but this book is smart too. Mort(e) deals with heavy discussion of themes like religion, friendship, and sentience, and literary and biblical references abound. A sequel (or maybe its a spinoff) is coming out in november, with a third on the way in 2017.

I’m obviously no frequent book reviewer (in fact, I’m typing this on my phone at 2:30 am because I read this book in less than 10 hours and need to discuss it somewhere) but I highly recommend you check mort(e) out.
