Tarot cards don’t have to be used to answer questions, dish out advice, or purely as a tool for divination. They can be components in spells. They can be used to inspire a spell, represent the intent or goal of the spell, represent a specific part of the spell and so on and so forth. In the past they have been used to play games, and used as playing cards. So why not extend their use in spells and witchcraft.
So here’s a master post of my major arcana spells series using tarot cards to inspire spells that will also use the card that inspired the spell. Feel free reblog if you would like to keep all of them together, or you can keep them all separate and tag them as you please so you can find them again on your blog but if you wish to have the list on your blog for reference etc. here it is.
These spells and more can be found on my blogs spells page. These specific tarot spells will be under the tarot spells category, and can also be found in the #tarot spells or #major arcana spells tag. All spells created by the-weatherwitch are filed under the tag #the-weatherwitch spells.
It's when there are two full moons in one month. If you're referring to my glamour spell you don't have to wait until there's a blue moon, you can use the spell on a normal full moon. I think I mention the same in the post.
hey! I love your blog, and reading through your spells and such really inspires my creativity. i recently came across your tarot spells and really like a few. i see you dont mind people reblogging them, but do you mind if i write a few down? it might sound dumb but i felt like i should ask and make sure..
Aww anon this is such a nice message to wake up to. Thank you XDI’d be fine, in fact I’d be ecstatic if you used them or kept them for your own uses. Any of the spells on my spell page you can reblog, write down, save, even put on your own spell pages or in other resources - I know a few have been put into people’s spell lists. All I ask is that you give credit for them :)
But by all means feel free to write them down or save them.
Thank you for the message anon, it’s certainly not a silly question to just ask and make sure on things. Have a good day!

I would advise all spells be cast with a separate deck of tarot cards that you would not mind the possibility or them being ruined, bent, scorched, or otherwise destroyed. I am not to be held responsible for you deciding to use these spells with your decks, therefore I would recommend using a cheap deck or a deck you have had a long time or one you don’t mind getting ruined in anyway shape or form.
Not that theses spells will actively seek to destroy cards or tarot decks but it is a possibility that they may get broken, bent, or ruined in using them for spells.
Of course any spells using herbal concoctions: oils, fragrances, perfumes, incense, and waters do a patch test to check if its safe, and don’t use things you’re allergic to, If you are unsure - don’t do it. Play it safe. I am not a doctor, any allergy, or medical, advice you should consult your doctor about.
Please do not remove, or edit anything from these spell posts or this post (unless it is a gif or picture) and please do not re-post, remove content sources, or links from this post, and any of these spells linked below. If you wish to link these spells in posts and/or on your own blog you can, please source my blog as the creator. These spells are posted for personal use, and to share them, they are created from my own experiences, therefor the ingredients used I know I am not allergic to - If you decide to use these spells it is your choice to do so, do not use anything you are unsure of, not experienced with, have not studied/researched, or are allergic to.
Major Arcana Spells: The Empress’ Eyes of The Home
A spell to protect and guard the some, incorporating the elements, cardinal points, and physical wards. This specific spell will set barriers around the home, which will trap, cleanse, and dissipate unwanted energies.
You Will Need:
Yarn
4 Clear glass Ornament Balls
2 different colored water paints for each ball
Bells, or wind chime charms - at least 3 for each.
Protection Oil/Blessed Water
Marker
Sand/Red Brick Dust/Witches Salt - a powdered protection charm.
Candle
Empress Card
Other charms are optional.
Sigils are optional aslo.
You will use {this tutorial} to create the four hanging baskets. But with each knot you tie whisper to it:
Tied as one and bound together.
Protect and serve, this charms you’re tether.
Now you add the bells to the hanging baskets string. Then take you’re glass ball and open up the ornaments top, pour the first color into it and swirl it around a little. Then place it upside down int a old cup, letting the excess paint leave, leave it to dry then the the same with the second color. Continue until it is colored as you desire.
Light the candle with the card in front of it.
Now add the chosen protection powder, or a mixture. Now seal the ball, and decorate it with any charms, ribbons, crystals you see fit. (do this for all four)
Now draw an eye on the ball, with a compass in it’s center but draw an arrow point on it’s cardinal point - traditional witchcraft says North = Air, West = Water, South = Earth, and East = Fire. But use you’re own representations if you like - so If you are starting with earth let the arrow point to the South section of your home. This is the time to add anymore sigils or protection symbols. As you do this say;
Eye of the [cardinal point] “south”,
Powers of [cardinal element] “Earth”.
Guardian of the compass watch my home,
With the power to protect over all that I own.
Now hand the basket in the home, you can either hang them in the relevant parts of the home, or hung together over/near the hearth.
Decorate it, if you like, with object that link with the elements - south = crystals, rocks, plants. West = shells, sand dollars, fossils of sea creatures. etc
Now take the oil or blessed water and rubs some over the eye and the compass arrow of the witches ball. As you do so say;
Eyes and arrows, deploy.
Compass and Charm,
Ensnare, Entrap, Cleanse, and Destroy.
Protect this home from all harm.
Repeat this last step once a month, preferably on the full moon. But before and after doing so walk around the house with a candle, then place the empress card in front of it let it burn out. As you walk around tell the flame to work with the charms and cleanse the home.
If you’re able you could construct a servitor, or fetch for protection and use these charms as their anchor - create one for each charm to protect each part of the home. You could then add the creation process to this spell.
Major Arcana Spells: The Worlds ‘Come To An End’ Spell
A spell to bring something to completion, to ensure it is put to an end, let something be finished, put to rest, or come full circle. Simple a spell to encourage an event, time, or thing to be over an done with.
You Will Need:
A Candle
Colored Sealing Wax, or Extra Wax
Carving tool
Soil
*Incense, Fragrance Oil (and burner), or Wax melt - symbolic to something to put in place of what you’re ending.
The World Tarot Card
*For Example if you are casting the spell to end stress, you would use a lavender wax melt because lavender promotes peace. etc.
Begin the spell by carving the candle with what you wish to put an end to, and any other valid information.
Once you have done so, fill the carvings with the colored wax.
Light the candle, then circle it with the soil. As you do so say;
From the fires of the earth thing come,
And to the earth return when done.
As this candle burns shall this situation finish,
Let it come full circle; as the flames diminish.
Now light the incense/oil or wax burner with the flame from the candle. Place this inside the circle too, as focus for a while on bringing a smooth and swift end to your situation and bringing in to your life something new in it’s place.
Hold the The World Card In the Smoke, then Circle the soil, and candle with it while saying;
And from the same earth that the fire comes,
shall it call unto the four winds.
as moth to flame, and sky to earth,
I call you forth, and shape you from this circle.
let the candle burn down, depending on how big the situation is depends of how big the candle should be. Carry The World Card with you until the spell is complete.
I would suggest a pillar candle so you can cast the spell out over a length of time. Returning each day to light it and the Incense etc.
Spell to ensure success, victory, and enhance the skills required to achieve it.
You will need:
Chariot Card.
Candle.
Yellow, White, and Purple Yarn.
Carve the words ‘victory’ ‘focus’ ‘ determination’ on the candle. Place the card in front of it and light the candle.
Take a moment to look over the card, focus on success. Begin to brain the colored yarn together, while doing so focus on winning ‘see’ yourself winning and achieving that success. Say as you braid:
Braided in success,
I seal my fate to do my best.
Let the candle burn down.
When done tie the yarn around the card and carry it with you when you need it’s help.
A spell to breath life back into something (metaphorically) long past. To reopen a door, bring something back around, simply to allow something to be reborn - to recall or renew something.
In essence this is a spell to help bring back something metaphorically dead, something missed, this could be an idea, a dream, an opportunity you once rejected.
You Will Need:
The Death Card.
Dried Pomegranate.
Fire Proof Container.
Pen & Paper.
New Moon/Dark Moon.
Salt, Patchouli, Basil.
sigils of “rebith” “returning” & “Renew”.
Small Taper Candle.
You will begin the spell by cutting open a top in the pomegranate, empty out any remains of the inside so you are left with a ‘shell’ of pomegranate.
Set this to the side, place on top of the death card.
Make the sigils as stated above and carve/write the three of them on the pomegranate, spacing them out so they go around the sides of the pomegranates.
Take the piece of paper and write down what it is you need to recall, return, or renew in your life. The thing you’re bringing back. Burn the paper, ensuring it is all turned to ash, as it burns chant:
What once died,
I call renewed.
Like moth to flame I summon thee,
What is no more,
Return to me.
Once the ash is cooled, and burnt out, mix it with the salt, patchouli, and basil. Pour the mixture into the pomegranate as you do say:
Rise from the ashes of death,
reborn.
Return to my life,
recalled.
Put the top of the pomegranate back on and seal it with wax. Burn the candle on top of the pomegranate as it burns down say while focusing on what you are recalling:
Fire of the phoenix,
Burn you’re power into my spell.
Rebirth from ashes,
Returned!
As the candle burns, visualize the flames burning it’s power into the sigils, see them ignite with fire and glow with the flames. Everyday hold the pomegranate while focusing on what you want to return, feel the fire contained within as you focus.
Keep the pomegranate somewhere safe.
Major Arcana Spells: The Hanged Man’s Time To Sea Spell
Spell to cause someone to loose time, and miss opportunities. To become stuck and lost in timeless and unprosperous limbo.
You Will Need:
A Large Jar w/ Lid.
Poppet - Wood, metal, clay. Something heavy.
Sand & Water.
Hanged Man Card.
String.
Strip of Fabric.
Blue Tac
Take your poppet and tie string around its leg.
Take the jar and begin to fill it with sand. As you do so say;
Sands of time, pass on by.
Cather up, Accumulate.
Lost to the winds, Swept to the seas.
Let wasted opportunities be collected in thee.
Place the fabric across the poppets ‘eyes’ to act like a blind fold. Take the string and swing the poppet slowly like the pendulum of a clock.
Say;
Blinded, Let time pass by.
Tied & Bound as opportunities fly
Blue tac the poppet so it hangs in the jar, with part of the string hanging over the edge of the jar.
Begin to pour the water into the jar. Say;
Time lost to oceans floor.
Drown in the knowing that you should have done more.
Close the jar, and place it somewhere safe. When you want the spell stopped remove the poppet from the jar. Shake the jar occasionally - symbolizing time moving by them.
