Honestly? The show should have ended with nexus, maybe his second death. The fact most of the character arcs were basically over by that time makes me believe that WAS the plan but idk. It's kinda obvious that neither the fans or creators/actors don't enjoy the show anymore.
It should have had a great ending like the eclipse and puppet show (I didn't watch it so I might be wrong) but instead it gets milked for money

I do think actually that runestraw appeals to me specifically because im aroace.
With alibends or mala it’s so explicitly romantic that it just seems boring and ‘gross’ to me, but even though runestraw is obviously a romantic pairing it’s not super “in your face” like the other pairings. Like they still have that platonic air between them and their relationship isn’t just about the romance, it’s also a good display of both their characters and growth and sometimes, honestly, it does kinda read like a qpr in my brain.
Basically TLDR is, i like how neutral the vibes are between them and how the romance is sorta something that’s a bonus and not shoved in my face constantly.
I usually take inspo for his demeanor and clothes from Aaron Burr. I kept the Indiana Jones inspo while trying to make him look studious if that makes sense... the way I draw him is inspired by luckadaisy character. He's a tuxedo cat with a white tipped tail. And sometimes his zanny past surfaces up in the form of those animated reactions. His hat is usually on his head but I was lazy. And also his bag is usually in the form of a scarf or a messenger bag, cuz a fanny pack does not fit him im sorry. Basically he has that adventurer vibe but also u can tell he's a nerd yk. His main color for me is yellow, light and warm, but sometimes a but too much.
some details: He has patches/pins on his leather jacket, his favorite flower embroidered on it too by bendy, a columbine (all the questers have this, recurring hc), big whiskers, some wrinkles, small glasses, and a very fancy shirt. His design is sharp but friendly, imo hes a lot more angrier and selfish than he let's on and I wanted to show that.
Mugman:
Im gonna be real hes a but difficult for me. But I do have some notes. I gave him a little bit of hair made out of whipped cream. Cuz I cannot draw him bald im sorry. The liquid in his head is more like hot chocolate, with marshmallows. He has a ribbon tied to his handle (dish fashion hc). His scar is massive and reaches from his hipmto his face cuz. He has white porcelain skin (idr like the pure black skin thing idk). Funky scarf design, he can fit anythingin there and its enchanted with magic (idk if that canon or not). I wanted to make his clothes more suitable for fighting if that makes sense? Like he is kind hearted but still a great fighter and pretty smart. And yeah, a sunflower embroidered on his pants, by bendy. He has patches on his pants, he and his brother usually fixed their clothes themselveswhen they weren'tallowednew ones. His figure is rectangular, firm but also stable. He knows what he wants yk. His main color is blue, I see it as him being hopeful and trustworthy
Alice:
More of an our glass figure. Her bangs are inspired by the goth aesthetic, so is her whole wardrobe and color. Her eyes are in a teardrop shape, she's a very caring person. She has a simple outfit, pretty modest (hc for angels customs) and wears long gloves. Her halo usually has sparks of light to symbolize her strong and conflicting emotions. Shes more muscular than she looks on first glance. She has dark roses embroidered on her sleeves. She has spiky elf ears (angel hc) Yeah thers not much to her with shape or color language. She prefers darker colors which is odd for angels usually (hc again). and her wings are hawk like (im pretty sure thats what it was?) but mostly white. Usually carries pouches to hold things, and has healing things for emergencies. And a knife hidden by angel magic.
Cala:
She has a very round shape language, giving her a more friendly appearance despite her being a Gorgon. Shes not too familiar with surface fashion but with the help of Alice and Holly she mixes it with underwater fashion. Like pears for example. Her skirt both resembles tail fins of a mermaid tail and flower petals. Shoes are ballerina like, and are a reference to the little mermaid, but she aren't on tiptoes, they're made in a way that help cala walk a bit better. So a bit flat. She has her favorite flower embroidered on her skirt by u guessed it, Bendy, a water lily. Her colors are usually purple and teal. Her eyes are siren like and she has a bigger nose and lips, and small eyebrows. I wanted to make her a bit chubbier, and she has scars on her arm cuz thats canon, yeah

To me is reads as tying in to the fact that as much as he might be tough, ruthless, and mean, thats simply just a mask he’s put on above everything else, to hide. Almost like how clothes hide things.

Him and cup have similar aspects, mugs’ scarf and such, but the major difference is the colors they’re coded with by default. Red is typically an evil and threatening color while blue is more melancholy and inviting, maybe not totally friendly but definitely a more approachable color than red.
Mugs also wears more loose and flowy clothes unlike cup who favours ones that stick closer to his body. Shows their difference in openness.

Ok so a pretty known thing with him is when he gets attached, he gets ATTACHED like that man is a certified PHD yearner. I imagine it starts small then eventually him trying to repress it turns into subtle obsession, push and pull if you will. He wants that proximity but simultaneously the thought of it is too much to bare. He flirts, he teases, but when it gets too close he pulls back, throws you off.
In my opinion, i don’t think he’d be too toxic, definitely to a degree but with his level of PTSD i feel like you’d know that before going in. He’s rough, closed off, emotionally repressed and a massive, tense ball of constant paranoia. Dating him though, i feel like a lot of that would take a 180, we see it pretty prominently with Holly. He’s patient, gentle, more soft spoken and honestly a little pathetic i mean he literally got on his knees to apologise to Holly and actively fights the urge to play with her hair.
He won’t admit it, but he’d definitely be into some of the cheesy couples shit. Matching stuff, buying flowers, SOME petnames, etc. He acts tough but i feel he’d enjoy physical affection a lot, considering he’s pretty touch starved, not at first but definitely later down the line. Personally i see him being pretty cuddly idc burn me at the stake. He’d remember the most insignificant details, psychoanalyse you, want to know EVERYTHING about you (this ties in with the obsession point i made before). Kissing would probably be something that takes him a WHILE to do, but when he does he doesn’t stop and probably finds any and every moment and excuse to kiss. He’d also love teasing and making you flustered then immediately gets shy and backtracks when you do it back.
He’d be INSANELY respectful, always abiding by boundaries — except a few times where he might cross the line unintentionally — and asking if something is okay before doing it (mostly from anxiety but also because he actually cares). He’d also be insanely protective and possessive like if someone shows even mild interest he’s killing them with his mind.
Very reassuring, he’d fumble and maybe not know what to say but on his soul and by god he means it and will always give it. That man is loyal down to his bone marrow and would NEVER be anything but, like he literally considered killed the devil himself for Holly lets be real gang.
This man would so attentive and gentle its crazy like he’d constantly want to do things for you and shit. The ziptosecond he notices you struggling he’s over there bro. Obviously not to the degree of being unhealthy since, in his own words, he’s not a toy.
Overall he’s definitely the type to give princess treatment, holding your bag, holding the door, carrying things for you, carrying you if you need it, and so on.
