The blonde chewed on the corner of her lip, pushing at the blonde locks that were being blown back due to the fluttering breeze that blew along the beach.  “It does make me feel better, thanks.” Alyssa tried to assure him, feeling a bit guilty she had made him feel…awkward. She could already feel his questioning eyes on her, and she had to hold her tongue to not comment on it, feeling her cheeks warm up. “Alyssa.” She introduced herself, holding out her only hand, smiling. “Do you have a name?”

Aaron smiled a little at her, a little relieved that it didn’t seem like she was going to put up some fight or continue to argue.. He was never one that was really good at arguing, that was Caden. “Alyssa.” He said quietly to himself to help him remember the girl’s name. “My name’s Aaron and... Sorry again. I’ve just been on edge since, well, everything.” He said sighing and sitting down. “I won’t lecture you anymore though, promise.”

“’Why don’t you come up here and make me?” Leah said slyly. “Come on, have a little fun!”

“I just don’t want you to get hurt okay?” He said as he watched the girl climb higher. Looking around he groaned but started to slowly make his way up after her. “Promise you’ll come down after I get up there?” He asked in a shaking voice as he held onto the rocks protruding from the steep hill-like cliff.

“And if you join me, than you will have! I don’t know, if I break my arm, at least I’ll have done something exciting. It will have been an adventure! Besides, bone’s heal. Don’t we have a doctor? He can do something.”

Aaron shook his head as he looked up at the girl before tentatively following the best he could. “I’ve never broken a bone, but I’m pretty sure breaking your arm would hurt more than it would be exciting. And yeah, there’s a doctor somewhere on this island, keyword ‘somewhere’.”

Alyssa parted her lips and then pressed them together, breathing sharply before looking back down at him. “Look- Okay I’m sorry. I’m just tired of people doubting me and thinking I can’t do things for myself…”

Aaron sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets awkwardly and looked away. “It’s fine… I’m… Sorry too..” He mumbled a little embarrassed. “If it makes you feel better, I never doubted you, I just I don’t want anymore people to get hurt.” The boy said with a shy smile, trying to force his eyes to focus on her instead of her, well, lack of arm. “So, do you have a name? I-I mean of course you have a name, but what is it…?”
