Is there a talented artist out there who can draw all the Sherlock characters just doing normal stuff? Because this is something I would just love - like Moriarty just leafing through a book or something.

okay but i can’t be the only person who thinks there should be a sherlock spin-off series just about moriarty’s backstory - cause in the books he was a FUCKING MATH TEACHER so how did he go from that to the psychopath we know today?

Tbh I find it fascinating how readers just connect to fictional characters like they're family & friends. Like they're real. Like they've known them for ages.
The truth is that yes we did know them pretty much their whole life (irrespective that they're fictional). Their actions, thoughts, decisions, mistakes, achievements, relationships and every single thing.. cuz we have been there with them literally every step of the way.
Like really, when we are reading a book (especially series), we read about them from the very beginning. You have no idea who that person is but you get to know... Who they are, what they are, what they were, what are their hobbies, who do they love, who they hate. It's almost like getting to know a person. You start off shyly and talk about small and random stuff, then you get to know more about them, slowly learning more and more about them over time and then get really close with that person and get to see them through their ups and downs and everything that has been happening in their life. I've also noticed people saying that when they feel alone or feel like they are gonna have an anxiety/panic attack or they're feeling sad, they often imagine talking to their favorite fictional characters, or their characters holding their hand and all and uk... That is how it is with characters. We get to know more and more about them with every page we turn, every book we read and then when we finally reach the end or when we get attached to the character.. it physically aches us to see that character go through pain and suffering.. and sometimes even die (which actually brings tears to our eyes), when all of this, all of them, all of their life, doesn't even exist.. but still, it is so hard to not feel that way and that is what I love about books. That is what I love about reading stories. It is like a whole new different world. An escape. A dimension where you can meet new people of your own liking. People who relate to you.
Even if all of it is fictional. It is damn beautiful.
i genuinely experience this everyday. if i’m having a panic attack, i just imagine what my fictional dudes would say if they were there and it honestly helps so much. you know, even though someone imagined them, they are real because they impact us just as much as any ‘real’ person ever could.
