Camped and hiked in New River Gorge National Park March 27- March 30 2026
Getting to spend the long weekend in the park with a life long best friend was so special. We all got to camp on the riverfront which was a new experience 😍

2.14.2025-2.16.2025 Boston is truly my city, having lived there for 2 years I feel a deep connection to this city. So happy I got to go in February and celebrate love in the city I love 🖤🩶🤍
Headlight Lighthouse, Maine
August 2024- New England has a special place in my heart, so being able to finally visit Maine was so special. I am so grateful for all the travel I get to experience and I am so happy I always remember my camera
📍Portland, Maine
August 2024 - The day I took this photo my mother and I were leaving NC to start heading up to NY then Maine. We woke up early to get a head start on the long drive ahead. On our Journey we drove past a beautiful lake with this steamy haze rising off of it. We had driven a few miles past before we finally decided it was worth turning around to get these photos, after a bunch of “Ok but is it worth it?” “It would be an added 20-30 minutes for our trip” “But it was so beautiful” “i really want to remember that”. Luckily I always travel with my camera. I was standing on the side of a 55 MPH road on a bridge just so I could take this photo. It was definitely a moment to remember. Always go back for the photo guys.
Checked my 18th state off my list, I am terrible at posting on here but I got some really good photos I am proud of from that trip <3
On top of the world, just me and my hiking boots
Camping weekend with @theadventuresofmanders
Shinhopple, NY & Hancock, NY
This was such a great weekend 🥰
I’ve officially traveled to 17 states as of last weekend. I am so excited to continue collecting states AND I now have 3 National parks collected as well as of March!
October 21 2022 Caleb Smith State Preserve - A little fall foliage photo shoot and nature walk. Nothing like a local nature walk day to make you feel good. I always love getting out in the fall to see the leave change!
October 14-16 2022 - Florida trip to visit family. I always try to catch a sunrise or sunset while I’m in Florida. I think the skies of Florida, when the sun is setting a rising are the most beautiful I’ve seen so far in all of the states I’ve visited.
Just realized I skipped from 2022 to 2023 so this will be a little out of order - oops - I wish there was a way to fix this
October 7, 2023 Shanandoah National Park!!!! (1/63 collected at this point).
Trails Hiked: Upper Hawksbill Trail to Hawksbill Viewing Platform - out and back
Dark Hallow Falls Trail, Rose River Loop Trail, Rose River Fire Road
Hike Information: Dark Hallow Falls Trail -> Rose River Loop Trail -> Rose River Fire Road
Miles: 5.4 miles all together
Elevation: 910 + 440 <- the trials are considered to be two separate hikes but we did them together as a loop
This first hike was so fun and had two waterfalls on it that were beautiful to see. I got to do this trip to the national park with one of my oldest friends. I am so happy we go to experience this together - from driving skyline drive to hiking two hikes it was a glorious day. This was also my friends first major hiking trip. The elevation on this specific trail was definitely a bit of a challenge the further you went since there were legs of it where you were just climbing nonstop for a while. I really enjoyed it. Otis loved hiking this trail and got to meet so many other dogs during it. Remember folks to always pick up your pets waste!
Hike Information: Upper Hawksbill Trail To Hawksbill Viewing Platform and back
Miles: 2.1 miles round trip
Elevation: 520ft
After doing the previous hike this one felt harder than it truly was - calves on fire vibes. This trail was amazing we saw some deer on it and got to see the mountains from the nicest viewing platform I’ve seen so far. The view was worth pushing out luck with timing - we ended up hiking the last leg of the trail back to the car in moderate darkness. We really pushed it to get 2-3 hikes out of this day. In the future I think I would spend 2 days going to the park instead of one but when visiting my friend in VA I always want time with my niece and nephew too so it was a healthy balance doing one day at the park for this trip specifically. I really wanted to do this hike as it is the highest peak in the entire park at 4.051ft!!
Otis was pooped after this hike as you can see - he loved the hotel bed even more than I did that night. He did so good on the hikes I truly am so grateful to have such a great hiking buddy
I am going to be posting a lot trying to get my trips/hikes up to date so I can just post on my trips in the future…if you cant tell this has just become a travel, hiking, adventure journal for me at this point so I can look back and reminisce.
Enjoy my most recent in transit photo as I went into Manhattan for a Beartooth concert
September 2023 I ended up in Florida and NYC but didn’t do as much hiking as I wanted to. I am glad I got to travel and spend such great time with friends and family.
August 25-August 29 2022 - Stowe Vermont
Vermont was a dream - loved being able to travel with some of my favorite people. They really fed into my desire to hike and see a water fall, I even got to swim in it…it was freezing like couldn’t breathe cold. So. Worth. It.
Been MIA lately as the weekend trips and explorations have been frequent while I also try to just work and maintain life, I will get back to my regularly scheduled program this week. While I do that please enjoy this pic from a recent adventure by the ocean
Flying out to California this weekend and camping in Big Sur, the excitement is very real. 🌲⛺️✈️
