Having driven around Scotland for a couple weeks back in September I knew I would be in for another treat when Andrew and I decided to drive from Glasgow to Aberdeen the first week of November. What I didn't know is that we would also be treated with snow. Which was awesome.

The Trinity College Old Library in Dublin. Amazing library. Book of Kells on display as well, but this room is what did it for me.

Pretty sure this is the Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin. They wanted to charge us $10 to go in, so I took this picture from the outside instead.

The Irish Famine memorial in Dublin. Scary statues, scary time.

The new bridge in Derry-Londonderry. Very cool design, especially given that is solely a pedestrian bridge.

The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. Hexagonal stones that were created naturally from a combination of cooled lava and erosion.

A mural from the loyalist and the revolutionary side of Belfast, and the wall that divides them between them both. This wall is very real, and very much still in use. While in Derry-Londonderry Noemie and I had a bomb be diffused on our block - like 100 feet away - as retribution from someone killing someone. From what everyone tells us, it is more about drugs now than anything - but less than 10 years ago it wasn't. It was about something much bigger, that a lot of people still care a lot about.

Walking around Skye in black and white.

Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye. I had no idea that Skye was as far north as Alaska. As such, Talisker is one of the most remote distilleries in the world.
