NEW HOME!
The Bad News So after some unforeseen circumstances with our rental house we have had to push our home buying-hunt! We had been renting for a few months since we moved back to town. After initially nixing our Tiny House idea after reality hit us the PERFECT property fell into our laps. We were hoping to eventually buy the house that we were renting but unfortunately our landlord’s sister needs to move into the property :( We have been scrambling to find a home and also get our finances together before Christmas...which is our timeline to get out of our house now. The Find Luckily, as I was looking through the windows of a fixer-upper (and hopefully not trespassing!), a nice man came out of the neighbors house and told me that that home would be up for sale when he was done with the remodel. He asked if I would like to come in and see it and only out of respect did I go over to look at the house planning on not liking it before I even entered. The home had one less bedroom than my husband and I wanted and was in the middle of town. We love living in town but we were wanting to have a few acres for our pups. I liked the house way more than I was expecting. Hardwood throughout, location great, it just didn’t have that third bedroom. The Thinking My husband immediately fell in love with it. It was in the neighborhood he loves and we wouldn’t have to sacrifice the ability to walk to the local bars :) He kept reminding me of this house even though I had my eye on another property. One day my Dad called me and said “You’ll never believe this but a guy I used to work with has a home for sale right across your neighborhood. I just went and looked at it and it is nice and I don’t want to sway your decision but I would consider this house” The Decision Well not only did my Dad used to work with the owner’s son but the owner turned out to be one of my middle school teachers! What a small world it is and how things work out. As of today we are Future Home Owners! The process has all went much smoother and faster than I could have hoped for. We lucked out and the sellers are even paying our closing costs! wow!
