I finally finished my first read of 2020! 🎉📘Hiddensee was such a unique and interesting retelling/origin story of The Nutcracker. I loved learning about Drosselmeyer’s past and how the Nutcracker came to be. I will say, though, I didn’t love the writing style. It felt a bit unnecessarily wordy at times. It was still an enjoyable read, regardless. • Tell me! I finally finished This Outside Life by Laurie Kehler! This was such an enjoyable and interesting read. I learned quite a few new, interesting facts about nature, and I loved how the author was able to correlate everything to faith and our walk with Christ.
