So I just wanted to share a happy story.
I finally got to suit at my first convention this last weekend. I wore just my partial on the first day and on the last I cosplayers and suited. Anywho, I made a present for one of the guests and I was going to give it to him at his Q&A panel on that last day. But when my handler and I went to get a photo signed by her favorite, we realized his booth was literally the next one over and his line was nearly empty. So with my heart beating a mile a minute, I worked up the courage to stand in his line.
I wear glasses and they don't fit in ,y head so I am mostly blind but as he talked to the people in front of me, I could see him keep glancing over my way. Finally, when I was next, I shuffled nervously up to him. My handler said 'she made you a gift!' And I opened my paws to show him.
To help with context, the actor was Bob Morley who plays Bellamy on the 100 and I made him a 3D City of Light pill out of perler beads. Well, he laughed nervously and said "well I don't want that!" And I squeaked and got sad and he followed with "Bellamy would never take the pill." Well then he held his hand out in my blind spot so it took me a minute to realize he was reaching for it but then I handed it to him.
He kept saying that it was really cool but he didn't know what to say and it was too big to eat (I realized I should have grabbed it and put it in my mouth xD) and then he introduced himself and shook my paw and my handlers. Well I'm a squeaker and kept squeaking while my handler translated and told him he was my favorite and in the end, he just laughed and said this was the weirdest conversation he had ever had.
This is a total win in my book!
