“Back from the dead and already complaining,” he grinned.

“I’m just so tired,” Allura yawned, nuzzling her face into the side of Lance’s neck while he carried her bridal style back to her room. “You try saving existence as we know it without getting a little sleepy by the end of it.” 

“Well don’t worry,” Lance laughed, feeling light and full of gratitude knowing that she was safe and not lost in the cosmos like he had feared, “you can rest for as long as you need to.” 

“Stay next to me,” Allura asked softly, “I always sleep better when you’re close by.” 

“Of course,” he said, kissing the top of her head, “anything you need and I’ll be right there with you.”
