OK so I was watching Watch Mojos top 20 scariest movie monsters and I take umbridge with how modern focused it was but my biggest grivience is that number 10 was.....The Blaire Witch....YOU NEVER SEE HER !!!!! SCary movie,if you think so I will give that to you but NO for me I have to SEE the monster in some form

Something about Christopher Nolan shooting The Odyssey in only IMAX film sits kinda weird with me. Like what do you mean everyone else who doesnt have access to the 41 big IMAX screens (34 of which are in the North American continent (there's only 1 screen that size in Australia (where I live), 6 in the continent of Europe, and NONE in African/Asian countries)) will not be able to see the full frames of the movie? Will not be able to see the whole movie as intended?? Feels... I don't know. Elitist?? Classist? Definitely giving me something and it's both feeling weird and icky.

I have been mulling over an idea for a project looking over how filmmakers portray monsters/creatures characters(Robotic characters and animals attacking can count by the way .Debating Phantom of the Opera /Slasher types ),be it positively or negatively,and see who has the most interesting take* (Sci Fi ,Fantasy and Horror being the main genres ) I need two groups of filmmakers: Those who repeatedly return to the theme of monsters , and those who have done the theme once or twice

For directors who explore the topic many times:Del Torro ,Carpenter ,Fischer ,Cameron ,Scott,Burton ,Jackson,Dante ,Landis and Honda (May detract or add ,as I want an even split with the Monster Experts and the Monster dabblers

Currently trying to find filmmakers who have only dabbled once or twice (I have Coppola,Hitchcock ,Nolan ,Reiner ) so will take reccomendations

Doing primarly live action directors,monsters in animation feel like a whole can of worms

*Its probabbly gonna be Guillermo Del Torro or Ishiro Honda but want to give it a shot

I remember the Hays Code existed and that is why my mind goes "You know what? Let Old Hollywood have their Biblical epics, means less censorship of Pagan myths than already is..."

So for the last 25 years or so the 1997 Hallmark Odyssey miniseries has been a staple of High School classes on Homers Epic Poem

I heard many people say they saw it in school ,I saw it in school .I have foind memories of thatand for good reason.I just revisiited it and its a damn good adaptation of the story .IT leaves out the Sirens but what it keeps it does well

........Is the Nolan film gonna supplant it,are generations going to see MAtt Damon go "LEts Gooooooooooo"?

Hopefully Epic the musical will be used in clasrooms instead.
