Animage (07/1995) - Sailor Moon Super S: interview with the voice actors behind the Amazon Trio: Toshio Furukawa (Hawk’s Eye), Ryoutarou Okiayu (Tiger’s Eye) and Akira Ishida (Fish Eye).
Last pages from the Sailor Moon SuperS article in the September 1995 issue of Animedia.
I love my bigender fish child.
Day 26- Negaforce, Black Moon Clan, Death Busters, Dead Moon Circus, or Shadow Galactica.
I would have to choose Dead Moon Circus mostly because of the Amazon Trio they are my overall favorite villians! I love how they use to be animals that became human like then they actually became human! Also just their relationship with each other was cute too!
[EPISODE] 148. Shadows of Great Evil! The Trio is Cornered.
Series: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS
Kana: 巨悪の影! 追いつめられたトリオ Romaji: Kyoaku no Kage! Oitsumerareta Torio
Original Air Date: September 23, 1995
Director: Kounosuke Uda Writer: Yoji Enokido Animation Director: Taichi Nakamura
Plot: While Fisheye targets Mamoru, the Amazon Trio learns of their fate if they do not find Pegasus.
TRIVIA
Mamoru used a healing ability that was similar to the one Hotaru displayed in episode 112.
FIRSTS
Queen Nehelenia was introduced, but she was not physically present.
The Amazoness Quartet appeared in silhouette. Their identities, however, would not be revealed until later.
LASTS
This was Taichi Nakamura’s last episode as an animation director.
OTHER VERSIONS
Cloverway’s English dub (titled “A True Reflection”): Mamoru delivered a pivotal line that deeply affected Fisheye. In the dub, though, Darien simply said, “I have quite a different dream for my love life.” Fisheye trying to stab Mamoru/Darien was edited for television. The part where Fisheye plunged the knife into the board’s surface was cut out, but the planted blade was clearly visible in the next scene.
The original Korean dub: All episodes with the Amazon Trio were omitted.

[EPISODE] 149. Mirrors of Dreams! The Amazons’ Final Stage.
Series: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS
Kana: 夢の鏡! アマゾン最後のステージ Romaji: Yume no Kagami! Amazon Saigo no Suteeji
Original Air Date: October 21, 1995
Director: Hiroki Shibata Writer: Yoji Enokido Animation Director: Katsumi Tamegai
Plot: Zirconia punishes the Amazon Trio when Fisheye refuses to give up the identity of the human that hosts Pegasus.
TRIVIA
Until the start of Sailor Stars, this was the last episode to feature a preview narrated by Usagi before the opening credits.
Hawk’s Eye’s neck accessory was missing in the scene where the Trio received Dream Mirrors.
Although Usagi nearly died from having a broken Dream Mirror, Queen Nehelenia later destroyed her own in episode 167 without causing any harm to her physical well-being.
LASTS
The Amazon Trio appeared for the last time.
OTHER VERSIONS
The original Korean dub: All episodes with the Amazon Trio were omitted.
