I am not even near to done with my girl yet but I've spent good few hours with her already so I thought I may share some progress and/or thoughts during painting her. So let me introduce my beloved DnD character...
Bouře (Storm).
She is a tiefling bloodhunter/warlock multiclass with magic pact with a Fiend and of course a tragic past.
I've finally started playing Baldur's Gate 3 and the omnious dreamy song Down by the River made me want to draw her like dreaming looking up the night sky obviously. No stars or moon, just storm.
Once the posture and general idea was on the "paper", more details and thoughts started coming in my mind. Who else should be standing next to her than the Fiend who gave her power? It's the only one who she has left, everyone else died. It's just her, the Fiend and the Void, voice in her head.
Fiend is a black messy unicorn with his horn broken. Getting power from him wasn't easy, he pierced her belly with that broken horn. And even though he is definitely not a friend, he is not an enemy and she is not afraid of him. With that story, more details come easily.
There will be light source from the direction shee is looking at. Maybe it's just a lightning of a storm, maybe she is dreaming about seeing people she lost in that light.
She is now kinda detailed but Fiend is still just a rough sketch, let's fix that. And add some lightning as a source of light from behind as well.
This is where I am currently and I have much more to do. She is missing her body and arms and light on her skin needs fixing, Fiend needs fixing his mane and ears.
But so far I am happy with how that looks.
No, we are not playing this campaign for good few years now and she will never have her story finished, but I love her with my whole heart and I will never stop drawing her and screaming to the internet how awesome she is.
