I often wonder sometimes, 

if I've known you in my former life. 

This ache in my heart, 

for loving you so heavly, 

consumes my mind. 

I cannot fathom. 

Bones clutched, 

eyes dazed,

the aftermath. 

How so deeply in this singular lifetime,

I cannot.

And maybe we promised each other and played a game 

where we would find one another 

lifetime after lifetime. 

So that we would be strangers in human form,

but lovers within the soul.

All leading to the first touch, which would burn my whole body alive 

and I would ache 

for the loss 

of the loneliness I felt before.

I would feel at home, 

and it would feel 

different every time.
