A Not So Secret (Anymore)

Every second, every minute, every hour, every time of the day, she’d always ask herself, “Why did I choose to continue on this path?”, “Did you even want this?”, “Are you sure about this?”, “Are you still happy?”. She’ll have so many questions about so many choices she has made throughout the years she can’t even count them all. Maybe it’s because she has very low self esteem that she can’t even trust herself. She keeps on doing things people expect her to do, her choices always has to be made abruptly because time’s so precious, but here she is. Wasting her time doing all the things she shouldn’t do, making the wrong choices, then regretting it.

She was a coward. She knew what she’s always wanted, but didn’t choose it because she’s scared.

“What are you scared of?” she asks herself. The unknown future that awaits, the fact that she’d be different among everyone else when she made a contrasting decision.

She doesn’t know how to cope up with her own exhausting personality. But she know she’ll have to open her doors one day to the terrifying truth that she’s been trying to hide for years.
