Jasmine is wearing the second pixie hat I made. This one is made from orange felt that reminded me of pumpkins or carrots, so the ribbon ties had to be green. I also made the rest of her outfit. The leggings used to be a sock, and her mittens and booties are cut from the fingers of an old glove.

I was inspired by ivylingstanacc on Instagram to mock up book covers for if my girl Ivy Ling had been the main character.

There aren't a ton of Ivy illustrations, which is a huge shame because I'd like to make her a cover for The Puzzle of the Paper Daughter, one of Julie's mysteries that heavily features Ivy and her grandparents!

Ivy is such a sweet character, I really wish AG had made her more than a sidekick.

I went to the county fair and there was a doll sized quilt show happening in the fiber arts hall?!

I’m deciding it now. All shows, conventions and fairs should have a second smaller version of themselves within them. Yes academic conferences, yes comic conventions, yes state fairs, yes horse shows, yes whatever old guys are doing with old cars.

Kirsten is minding Britta while she works on her embroidery.

Britta’s dress is made from vintage fabric from the late 80’s/early 90’s.

I found Britta’s vintage cradle on Mercari and made the bedding from a partially ruined Kirsten mattress. Her blanket is from a woven vintage fabric as well.

I haven’t shown you guys my mini-me, lil’ Clare. She is a JLY (idk the number) I bought from shop Goodwill and rewigged, I curled her hair by putting it in curlers and dipping it in boiling water and then ice water. She looks just like me and I’m super proud of how smelly turned out!
