For the first time since their original release over 25 years ago, Knapsack’s three full-length albums are returning to vinyl in the US. Each has been fully remastered for vinyl and includes an out-of-print bonus track. In addition, to celebrate the band’s incredible legacy, we’re also releasing an exclusive limited edition box set. Beautifully packaged in a hand-numbered hard cover slipcase, this special release is limited to only 300 copies and features three exclusive variants and the retrospective art book “This Version of Truth." The book is not only the oral history of the band, but also the story of like-minded bands coming together in a time before GPS, mobile phones, the internet, and social media. The 72-page book includes over a hundred exclusive flyers and photos, a complete show archive, and interviews with members of the band as well as members Mineral, Boys Life, Christie Front Drive, 7 Seconds, and many more. The result is a time capsule from a bygone era of independent music, a must-have for fans of Knapsack. Hey y’all remember me? It’s been a few months since I’ve had my shit together enough to post. I had been meaning to post about this record as soon as I got it back in September, but we all know how it goes. This is Racquet Club. Another fantastic culmination of Sergie of Samiam/knapsack and Blair of knapsack fame. I don’t have enough good things to say about everything these guys have ever done, so no surprise this album is just as good. Maybe age (theirs and/or mine) lend more towards some serious feels, but still power through with their pop punk(ish)/emo sensibilities. I have a few favorites like New Granada, White Knuckles, or this track Blood on the Moon. If you’re a fan of their other bands you’ll dig this.
