Dinner cruise @ the Chao Praya river. One of my favorite experience in Bangkok. A must-try..you can hire a private boat that serves Thai cuisine or board one of the cruises offered by Chao Praya Princess that offers an international buffet. The cruise lasted for 2hrs. A great way to see Bangkok at night!

Tha Chang Pier is a few minutes walk from #TheGrandPalace . Be sure to visit the market for a taste of Bangkok's street food, refreshing fruit beverages and you can buy souvenir items here, too. If I had more time, I would have loved to try the ferry. One of the fastest and cheapest mode of transportation in #Bangkok . #ChaoPraya #ChaoPrayaRiver

Bangkok Experience 2015

Bangkok, a melting pot of diverse culture, food and shopping heaven.

The city is as colorful as the taxis roaming the streets. Upon landing, I was swept away by how beautiful, organized and huge their airport was. I had that feeling, that I was ready to explore the city centre. 

Disembarking from the plane and walking towards immigration took a few minutes. Don’t fret, just read the signs and follow the arrows, you won’t get lost. If you’re unsure whether you’re going in the right direction, ask an airport personnel and they’ll gladly assist you. 

The immigration officer didn’t even ask anything. Passport. Stamp. 

Next, luggage. After we secured our luggage, we decided to have our money exchanged in the airport (to save time and spare us from the hassle of lining up on the streets) Some would say, money changers outside give higher rates. But based from our experience, it was just the same. 

And so our adventure begins on a hot day (weather was 34-37)..

Grand Diamond Suites Hotel @ Petchburi Road was a few minutes walk from Platinum Fashion Mall. Great location. Value for money.

Life of A Freelance Writer

I've been writing and editing articles since Holy Week. I love my stint as a freelance writer, I didn't expect that I'll last this long and not get bored. Truth is, it's no easy work. Back in high school and college, I thought I was good at writing. I was part of the school paper and I got good grades in my English subjects. Reality check. When I submitted my first project, it was returned to me for revisions. It had comments such as subject-verb agreement, does not make sense etc. I felt bad at first, but then I reminded myself, this is part of my job. From there, I realized not to take revisions personally, instead I became eager to improve my writing. I re-read the basics of writing and currently enrolled myself in an online writing class. I aim to improve my writing skills, and one day get publish. But for now, I need to work on my skills to get higher grades and get promoted. It's been a good two months. Once in a while, when I experience writer's block... I go out. I go for a drive to clear my mind. I take a break and catch up with friends. It's nice to pause for a while, till reality strikes back again. Freelance work is all about time management. As my professor in fashion school often tells us, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. - Confucius"

Prayers. Action. Patience.

No matter how we plan our schedule or goals, expect to encounter small bumps on the road that delays our plan. It’s annoying and heartbreaking most of the time. But often, these unwanted events paves way for new opportunities. Far better than what we had in mind.

It can be difficult to believe that there’s something better out there…give it time. In the end, you'll find yourself blessed beyond your expectation. For now, breathe. Pray. Keep on, keeping on.

Step Into Jeanne Lanvin’s Office

Behind a nondescript door marked 313 on the third floor of Lanvin’s corporate offices at 16 Rue Boissy d’Anglas in Paris is a well-kept secret: the office of Jeanne Lanvin, impeccably preserved almost as she left it in 1946 when she died. At one end of the room is a large, L-shaped ebony desk, a small side table of Scandal and Arpège perfume bottles and examples of the original Lanvin packaging from the Twenties. At the other is a three-way mirror set on rolling castors to maximize the light and angles while Lanvin did fittings, which were held in her office until the end of her career.

The space is usually closed to all but its curators, but in honor of its 125th anniversary, the house is offering a rare glimpse into its founder’s workspace, with archivist Laure Harivel hosting small tours this week for a select few.  For More

One day, I'd like to take a short course on Interior Design, abroad. This is how one of my bookshelf looks. A creative way to display books, DVDs and decorative souvenirs or gifts. Books don't always need to be arranged from tallest to smallest. Try arranging them horizontally & vertically; it creates more space and it's visually appealing. Play with height. Be creative. Play with colors. And use figurines or displays as book stoppers.
