something I love in animation is when it really manages to capture weight.
It’s usually only done well in 2D animation when it’s a short/feature film, and it’s rarely captured in 3D animation. In fact, so many 3D animated characters among the various studios look unaffected by gravity. Even Pixar’s upcoming film, Luca— while I’m glad for something more stylized— looks so... inflated? Idk how to explain it ?????
One animation style I adore is Lilo and Stitch. They very consciously push the weighted-ness of everything.
(rather than balloon animals, the shapes are more akin to water balloons, yknow?)
It’s weird to me that so much of 3D animation isn’t able to make their character feel like they have solid mass??? It’s totally doable!!! It’s been done!!!
Maybe it’s just a personal preference, but I wish there was More Of This.
Ever since that Steven universe smut blog turned out to be a republican senator I knew I’d never leave this hell site. You just don’t get drama like that anywhere else
im sorry What
the way they just dropped this bomb and did not follow up. king
so i dug into this…
although they did send this ask to multiple people, someone in the comments suggested it was senator mike folmer (resigned in 2019)
https://www.pennlive.com/news/2019/09/after-former-pa-sen-folmers-arrest-experts-discuss-social-medias-role-in-child-porn-investigations.html
the email address that senator mike folmer used to sign up for tumblr was [email protected]
did you know you can look users up by email if you go to your following page? i didn’t lol but if you enter his address
you get a snarky message from tumblr staff about your choice to follow the account they closed for child pornography run by a US senator, which was hoser44… of course, all the posts are gone
however, if you enter hoser44.tumblr.com into the wayback machine, there are results
verdict:
inconclusive. mike folmer did not run a steven universe blog. he ran a MILF blog, which was shut down for posting child pornography. perhaps the anon is referring to a different republican senator…?
HELLO?????

i was gonna leave these in the tags but i thought it ws more important to post it as a comment so:
if you don’t have bubble wrap and can’t cover the windows with towels/blankets because you need to save them for yourself:
you can also create a layer of insulation in a pinch if you have tape + plastic/saran wrap by taping the plastic wrap over the frame so there’s no gap along the frame but there’s space between the window and the plastic wrap.
i’d recommend if you’re doing the bubble wrap method to do this as well if you can just to have an additional layer of insulation
also when picking the room to stay in make sure you pick a room with the fewest/shortest outside walls possible, because outside walls are exposed to the cold and will make rooms with more of them much much colder
stay safe everyone!

Just realized that if you turn Jack’s head upside down, so it faces “right”, then you get a better look of his sorrowful expression, as he watches Jamie through his bedroom window, with his loving mom and sister.
And I got this headcanon of mine, that throughout those 300 years of loneliness, not only did Jack yearn to be believed in, but he also intensely longed for the love he’d seen in families, wanting to have one himself. A family… This was long before he found out he once had a family, back when he was a mortal human, a life he barely remembers. (His baby teeth only revealed a handful of his most precious childhood memories, and of the times he spent with his sister, but more than that remains a mystery.)

I joke about being mean and evil but then people are Actually just genuinely shitty and I'm like. Doesn't it make you feel bad when you act like that
Just want everyone to know when I say 'evil' I really just mean "villainous and campy like a cartoon antagonist"
Did I meme right?
