summer, 2026.
for decades, riverton has been built on music. not the polished kind made for algorithms. the kind born in crowded bars, converted warehouses, open mics and garages where amplifiers shake the walls. the lantern still fills with musicians hoping for their big break. marrow quay is still open long after midnight, packed with recording studios and rehearsal spaces. around here, everyone knows somebody who is in a band, used to be in one or claims they are about to start one. and right now, the city belongs to a new generation. false harbor. wildwood. black water. pale horse. the cornerstones. daisy chain. riverstone. seven bands. seven different sounds. together, they have become the heartbeat of the bend. their success has reignited the city’s music scene. open mic nights are packed. new bands appear every month. producers are paying attention. independent labels are moving in. but riverton has never been just about the music. it’s about friendships becoming rivalries. bandmates becoming strangers. collaborations turning into competitions. songs written about people who never realise they are the muse. rumors spreading faster than the truth. messy relationships made into music. every performance and late night conversation has the potential to change someones future.
the bend is a 21+ original character (semi appless / optional skeleton) roleplay set in a fictional north carolina city where local bands, solo artists, producers, industry professionals and locals collide. we have character driven story lines, messy band dynamics, rivalries, found family, chaotic relationships, fame & ambition.
