Ariel sighed and shoved her hand through her hair. Soon enough, she would be done with school and wouldn’t work all the late nights at the Jolly Roger. But until then, it was good money and she’d built a solid base of regulars that she genuinely enjoyed, as well as a few strange friendships but that was the life of a dancer, really. Stretching out, her sweatshirt rode up before she leaned down to scoop up her backpack. Working on school between sets actually worked out well because she normally had enough time to get a reading or a piece of homework done between each.
Stepping out from the back, she waved at the girls who bid her goodnight with a small smile. Her eyes peeked around the bar, knowing trouble was on the horizon for her if the boss had tried to get in his desk yet that night. Hearing the roar from his office area, she pulled a face and started weaving her way through people with grace and mischief written all over her face before she almost walked into someone and schooled her face into smooth, innocent lines. “I’m so sorry,” she laughed softly as she looked up into their face.
Heading to the Jolly Roger would have most people think that he was interested in the entertainment but really Bigby knows that Hook won’t let anyone bother him. Provided he doesn’t bring his work into the establishment, which Bigby was more than happy to leave the cop persona at the door. It is a role that he was, for better or worse, forced in and he typically prefers if he doesn’t have to be the Sheriff of Fableton or whatever the fuck the role is suppose to be called these days.
Downing a shot of whiskey, Bigby pushed the empty glass away, chuckling as his hearing caught the tale end of something. Hook being pissed off isn’t necessarily something he wanted to stick around for, especially if a brawl fight started. Even if it could be potentially fun and entertaining, like he really needed another reason to get reprimanded at work. Sliding off the bar stool, he fumbled around to find his pack of cigarettes when a small body bumped into him. He barely felt it but he definitely noticed. “Wanna tell me what’s got you in a hurry?” He asked, finally pulling out his pack as he looked down at Ariel with a raised eyebrow.
