Back in 2015 I was still relatively unknown in the city as a DJ and tryna make name for myself like so many others. Learning the ropes from meeting so many people and help from @_dj_thiago among others, I finally got a shot when @morningnoonanight reached out and said “hey we see ya come rock with us” .. WENT IN that night (first pic/flyer) and the rest was history. I know many have had great times and great things to say about Anchor and yes I know a few or more have your gripes and grievances about it. But the truth is this was a launchpad and brought attention to my brand and name at a time when most dismissed and for that I’m forever grateful for the opportunity. Kitty i swear I miss her a whole lot. Yea she rubbed Folks the wrong way sometimes but she was definitely a diamond in the rough and one of a kind and irreplaceable and She helped pull me into scene and shined the light on my name and eventually got me there. I remember when I was Spinning on a couple Saturdays nights and the homie @djrayg_ was Emceeing my sets (so glad to see you WINNING right now bruv and it was a honor now as it was then truly). It was also the last time i got to spend fun times with @djspeakerfoxxx (RIP DARLIN!) and I even made closer friendships in BOTH places along with so many other crazy memories. It was definitely some wild times some of which I won’t speak on. You just had to be there. Even so after time passed I had and all the good (and some bad) times passed, I’d be remissed if I didn’t pay homage to a spot I was forever able to make my mark on.
