It turned out that I didn't have the proper colors for Uth Duna after finishing Nergigante, so I decided to go straight for Dalamadur while getting colors for Duna. Now I have everything I need for her

Nergigante is finally done!! The first Elder of the project looks very good, even if I do say so myself.

I got a tiring but an overall nice factory job at the start of this month. I've been there for 3 weeks now and it's the main reason this project will likely slow down until at least the end of September, especially after evening shifts I have little energy to do anything except just lay down.

That being said, the Thiccest Tuna is up next!

Alright! The iconic Rathian, the queen, is finally done! Took me a hot minute for all kinds of reasons.

Next up is the first Elder Dragon of the project, and maybe it being the Eater of Elders is somehow fitting.

I am so tired of short-attention-span, trim-the-fat culture. All writing advice these days is for how to write like Chuck Palahniuk. "Cut 'think', cut 'feel', cut 'wonder' - only action, only pushing forward, show and move and move and move." What if I could emulate this style, and still don't want to? What if I want to write like Henry James, with three paragraphs of introspective musings between each dialogue line? The music advice is, "make it shortform, make it Tik-Tok compatible, make it punchy, hit the refrain as soon as possible." What if I want that 10-minute prog rock piece? What if I want that symphony? What if I want it slow and luxurious and lazy? Movies. Series. Poetry. Bodies. Everything is "trimmed trimmed trimmed trimmed, stripped bare, you have three seconds to win me over, make it airport chic." I don't want to win you over, then, I guess. I want the fat left it. I want the pleasure and the indolence and the indulgence. Fuck this art-advice that's always "your art needs Ozempic."

which monster are you most excited to cross stitch? big fan of your work :)

Heyy! Thank you so much!! I'm maybe most excited for my beloved Shara Ishvalda :3 He's long ways away still, but I really enjoy the process of making each icon so I'm not exactly itching to get to him specifically. I'm also super excited for all the painterly Risebreak style icons, the Bishaten icon turned out so good that I know the rest are gonna look great

Finally I managed to finish Gypceros after a repeated strain injury from this project, and some other things. Next up is our iconic Queen of the Land herself!

I love it when my own mom calls me fat on Mother's Day 🥰🥰🥰🥰 at 167cm/5'6 and 63kg/139lbs I'm apparently a fat fucking beached whale whose body can be openly commented on. Guess I need to lose 15 kilos to be ideal, like the good old times when I still lived at my parents'. Happy Mother's Day

Did I seriously get repeated strain injury or something in my left elbow bc of cross stitching? 😭😭 It really hurts all of a sudden, my left elbow is the worst but the entire left lower arm hurts, it also radiates to the upper arm

I don't wanna take a break from the project but I guess I really have to

Bishaten is already done, and it was so fun to make! The Risebreak icon style looks great like this, can't wait to get to the other ones. By now I've made 10/144 icons

Next up is Gypceros

Daimyo Hermitaur is all done. I didn't have the dark greenish-gray that's in the sprite, so when I was picking colors I thought beige contrasted well enough with the lighter ecru 🥲 didn't quite turn out that way but oh well

Bishaten is next, and I get to try out how the Risebreak sprite style translates to essentially pixel art

Congalala is done. Giant enemy crab (red) is next on the line, that way I don't need to flip the fabric around unnecessarily
