Unit 15 - P5

I have now completed the testing for my game which was P4. I did approximately 20 tests for the work and gave evidence for each of the tests using screenshots of the game running. My next task for this unit is to create a help button within the game that will help someone who does not understand what to do in the game.

Unit 15 - P4

Today I finished work on my game by adding a lives counter. My next piece of work for this unit will be to work on P5 which is the testing of the game. This will look and see if there are any substantial errors and bugs in the game that need to be ironed out. I will provide evidence via screenshots of my game.

Unit 1 - P2

Today I completed the second part of my booklet which is P2 for Unit 1. It focused on the principles of effective communication. Some examples of the sections were General Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills and written communication skills. Next week I will complete my booklet with P3, which will focus on barriers to communication.

Unit 1 - P4, P5

Today I completed P4 and P5 for Unit 1. For P4 we got into small groups of three and reviewed each others booklets that we completed for P1, P2, and P3. The person taking notes gave them to the person who was having their booklet reviewed and that was essentially P4. P5 was a PowerPoint presentation that focused on P4. I said what the process was for P4, what the interpersonal skills were that we used and also what was said of my booklet. Now I only have P8 to do from the passes, which is do with this tumblr blog.

Unit 1 - P6, M2

Today I worked on and completed P6 and M2 for Unit 1. P6 was a dummies guide to word processing. It showed someone who didn't know how to check spelling and grammar in a work document how to do so. M2 showed how reviewing documents and creating versions can help you to avoid making mistakes. I had an original version with spelling and grammar mistakes and also another version where I put comments onto the document to show where I had made the errors. The final document had no errors. Thus completing M2.

P3 - Barriers to communication

Today I completed the last part of my booklet for Unit 1, which concludes P1, P2, and P3. It covered different barriers to communication. For each example, I explained what it was and why it was a barrier to communication and I also gave a method of how to overcome the barrier to have effective communication instead of a barrier.

Unit 1 - P1, Personal Attributes Valued by Employers

Today we learnt about different attributes that an employee can have that are valued by employers when they are looking for workers to fill a position. We are going to produce a booklet containing three sections (P1,P2,P3) that will elaborate more on what employers value. I have completed P1, which is about personal attributes. Starting Friday we will be starting P2 which is the second section of the booklet, adding onto what I have done today.

Understanding different learning styles.

Today we learnt about different learning styles that people have. You can use these different learning styles to tailor a lesson for different individuals so that they can learn the information and retain it better. For each learning style there is another that is the opposite. An example of this is Visual learning or Verbal learning. I also took a test and found that I am a Visual learner as opposed to a Sensory or Kinetic learner so I learn better by looking at things like pictures and diagrams instead of reading text.
