“Seriously? Even when I’m in L.A..?”
“Aww c’mon, Officer Jaenie. You’re not the only one who has work. I literally had to turn back from the north sea to come to Seoul just for our boss celebration.”
“You mean your boyfriend?” deadpanned Eunjae as she fold her arms, staring at her partner who was driving.
Hayeon received an invitation from Jay that he is holding an after-launch celebration of his Youtube Originals documentary series, Chosen 1.
She knew she would have to suffer for another few months of work and Hayeon decided to risk it with giving an excuse to her co-workers of her returning back to Seoul, due to family issues.
Hayeon decided to invite her duo partner who was currently in Los Angeles since she was assigned by MMG Agency to help the investigators there.
Hayeon knew that Eunjae would reject her offers - this wasn’t the only time Hayeon asked her, and Eunjae would always had her ‘work’ as her answer for her not to join Hayeon.
But this time, Eunjae weirdly accepted her invitation, but she would probe Hayeon more on where they were going, just to make sure Hayeon wouldn’t let her to a club.
“Again Eunjae. Jay is not my boyfriend. Besides, how about you and Minsik then?” Hayeon answered as she caught a glimpse towards the rear-view mirror to see Eunjae’s cheeks redden as soon as the conversation changes.
Eunjae sighs as her head turns towards the window.
“Minsik and I are just friends, just like how you and our boss are.” replied Eunjae with a smirk on her face, as she turned towards the front, looking at Hayeon’s back.
Hayeon and Eunjae got out of their car, as their eyes immediately wander around the area. It was obvious that they are surrounded by staffs and colleagues of Jay. Most of them were wearing casual but stylish kind of look.
“Are we too under-dress?” Hayeon questioned towards Eunjae who was wearing her usual work jacket.
“Of course not! We just came from work, Hayeon. Don’t worry. Besides, our sajangnim didn’t even say any dress code to you.” stated Eunjae with a shrug.
It was obvious that Hayeon felt insecure and Eunjae could immediately see it from her partner’s expression.

“Eunjae-ah! Hayeon-ah!”
Eunjae was cut off by someone calling her and Hayeon. They turned towards the voice to see a familiar duo waving towards both of the girls.
“Gyujeong! Hwimin!” Hayeon waved towards them as the 2 guys jogged towards there the girls are. As soon as they were face to face, the 2 guys didn’t hesitate to give the Blossom Angels a tight hug.
“I knew Hayeon would come, but Eunjae.. I didn’t expect you to show up.” Hwimin commented and Eunjae playfully glared towards the talkative one.
“Oh, so.. You want me to leave?” Eunjae playfully turned back as she looked towards the 2 guys.
“No!” Both Gyujeong and Hwimin answered in unison, causing Hayeon to giggle.
“I’m just joking!” Hwimin giggled as he slide his arms around Eunjae’s shoulder but Eunjae was fast enough to avoid his physical contact, causing Gyujeong to be awed.
“Woah.. You have a fast reflex.” Gyujeong praised and Eunjae smirked towards Gyujeong.
“Well.. I feel bad for rejecting Hayeon offers to hang out with Jay and the others. At the same time, work is over-bearing. So this was my chance to escape and catch up with the company.” explained Eunjae with a small smile.
“I thought you were heartless..” joked Hayeon and Eunjae immediately glared at her, causing Hayeon to smile sheepishly, knowing she was just joking.
“Anyway, where is Minsik?” asked Hayeon since she was curious. She would always see Minsik along the GroovyRoom duos.
“Well.. our Minsik is in the studios right now.. Thanks to our Eunjae here..” answered Hwimin as he wiggled his eyebrows towards Eunjae.
“He changed alot..” Gyujeong added.
Gyujeong was right, Minsik changed alot ever since the GroovyRoom duo added Eunjae to a group chat where the H1GHER Music artists are in. The duo didn’t add Eunjae for no reason, their schedules would have Eunjae appeared to be their ‘bodyguard’.
Since then, Minsik and Eunjae would always spent their time together. But ever since Minsik broke up with Heejung, the GroovyRoom guys would always drag Eunjae to hang out with the heart broken Minsik, hoping that Eunjae could bring the old Minsik back.
The rest were history, which result to Minsik and Eunjae having a close bond.
“I know, but for now, shouldn’t we talk about our sajangnim’s success?” replied Eunjae with a raised eyebrow towards the other 3.
“Look who it is!” Hwimin said happily and the others quickly turned towards Hwimin who was already greeting the one he was waiting for.
Hayeon’s eyes immediately locked towards Jay as he smiled towards her, going towards her for a quick hug.
“Congrat- Hey!” Hayeon shrieked as soon as Jay steal a peck on her cheeks.
“Not here, Jay.” answered Eunjae as she frowned towards the couple. Jay immediately bowed towards Eunjae in a joking manner, knowing the girl was trying to protect both Hayeon’s and the CEO’s image.
“Have you guys grab a drink? We have sprite and vodka here!” Jay pointed towards the bar area, to see Gyujeong holding onto a white cup.
“We will just have a cup of sprite, since we have to return back to our agency building.” answered Hayeon with a smile as she turned towards Eunjae who nodded.
“Well.. I know the two of you are busy but are you available after this?” asked Jay and Hayeon tilted her head slightly.
“We’re not sure but, what is it?”
“The crew is having supper together, it’s all on me. Do you girls wanna join?” offered Jay and Hayeon looked towards Eunjae, as she was already frowning a little.
“It’s up to--
“Yeah sure, I don’t mind.” shrugged Eunjae causing both Hayeon and Jay’s to widen. Hayeon looked towards Eunjae who just blinked at her.
“Well.. Great!” Jay cheered, knowing the Blossom Angels would join him.
“Jay hyung is so whip for Hayeon,”
“Yeah.. It gets more worse when he is drunk,”
The GroovyRoom duo were low-key judging their CEO who was clinging onto Hayeon who was trying to have a conversation with Jay’s manager, regarding his future schedules.
“Talking about being secretive..” Eunjae muttered as she look away from the couple, causing Gyujeong to chuckle as he heard her soft comment.
“You really do hate them being together huh?” Gyujeong questioned and Eunjae’s eye immediately went wide as she shakes her head, completely disagreeing to what Gyujeong said.
“I think you misunderstood my words. I don’t hate them being together. It’s rather the opposite actually,” answered Eunjae before gulping down a shot of soju.
Gyujeong stared at the girl, seeing her serious expression as she turn towards where Hayeon and Jay at, with a small smile. He knew she was not joking, Eunjae rarely jokes around them, even with Minsik.
It was as if Eunjae set a line between all of them.
“I don’t know.. You just gave me the vibes of someone who just hates everything..” added Gyujeong and Eunjae frowned slightly
“Thats mean..”
“I’m sorry! I mean now that I get to know you more.. You aren’t that bad..” answered Gyujeong, causing Eunjae to slightly smile as she looked at him.
Gyujeong could feel his cheeks turned red as he quickly turned away.
Just then, Hwimin came back with more bottles of soju, sitting down beside Eunjae. He glance towards Gyujeong, letting out a deep frown.
“Yah, your face is red. Are you okay?” Hwimin questioned as he looked at Gyujeong who seem flustered.
“Well.. I don’t feel anything.” commented Gyujeong as he touches his face, at the same time glancing towards Eunjae who looked unbothered.
She was busy opening the bottles of soju, then pouring onto the duo’s glasses.
“So... What’s going on with you and Minsik?”
As soon as Hwimin mentions Minsik’s name, Eunjae coincidentally hit onto one of the open soju bottle, causing to spill on the table.
“Yah!” Both Gyujeong and Hwimin immediately whines and Eunjae slightly curse, quickly grabbing a bunch of tissues as she wipes the table.
The GroovyRoom duo silently watch Eunjae as their eyes slightly widen. Hwimin turned towards Gyujeong, and it seems that they are thinking the same thing.
“Eunjae, do you have feelings for Minsik?” questioned Hwimin and Eunjae immediately frowns.
“No, I don’t..”
“Eyyyy.. C’mon.. You guys have been together for like 4 months! It’s impossible for you not to catch feelings for Minsik!” Hwimin commented and Eunjae’s eyes slowly went downcast, as she began to look towards Hayeon.
Eunjae doesn’t even know her own feelings for Minsik. For now, she just sees him as a client.
“I don’t know.. All I know that I came here for work and to support our boss, along with his girlfriend... which is my partner...” answered Eunjae, as she sees Hayeon waving slightly towards Eunjae.
Eunjae immediately formed into a smile.
Gyujeong sees their interaction, as he turned towards Hwimin who looked like he lost a puppy.
