Hey guys, hockey season is upon us again and that means the boys are back! Hockey tumblr is getting more active again and with that we’re opening up the Blues Discord chat for new members (not that it was ever closed really but I digress).
All you gotta do to join is:
Make sure you have a discord account! If not, it’s free to sign up.
Send a message to either @onhomeice @captainmitchmarner or to this blog! We’ll send you a link to join.
Follow this blog.
And make sure to reblog this post to spread the word.
All are welcome, no matter if you’re an old fan or just decided yesterday you wanted to follow them. LGB~
Due to the success of our Leafs Group Chat server on Discord we have decided to create an all new group chat for the Saint Louis Blues!
If you’re interested in this chat group please reply/like/reblog/follow!
This server is pretty much an exact duplicate of the LGC with just a few minor tweaks to make it for the Blues, so don’t worry about learning a whole new setup.
I’m including the same set of Discord instructions below the break for those who want to familiarize themselves and for reference!
Otherwise, direct all your questions to @onhomeice @davidbackass or message this blog.
Hey guys! You might notice there’s a “Buy Me a Coffee” button on my blog now!
I’ve been spending a lot of time and effort on these NHL group chat servers (which I LOVE, it’s really fun for me) and if you appreciate what I’m doing, a good way to show that would be to make a small donation on my Ko-fi page.

How to join our Discord server:
First you’ll need to download Discord (available on the google play and app stores) or pull it up in your browser and make an account. Super simple, it will require your email but you won’t need to hand that or your phone number out in order to add friends!
Once you’ve created an account you’ll need to follow the link that you’ve received. This link will be good for one use only and will expire after 30 minutes. If you’re link does not work, you’ve run out of time, or run into any other trouble, please send @thebluesgroupchat @onhomeice or @davidbackass an ask or message and we’ll resolve the issue.
This link should prompt you to join our server, and once you’ve accepted you’ll officially be a member!
At this stage feel free to maneuver around the interface, and familiarize yourself. You should see a bar on the left side of your screen with an icon for the Blues Group Chat server. If you click on that icon a list of text channels should appear. Those channels should be #welcome, #sortinghat, #help, #suggestions, #thehellisicing, and #bulletin. You’ll notice that you are automatically moved into the #welcome channel. Here you should find a pinned message explaining the uses for this channel. Follow the instructions! This is where you should test out the messaging capabilities.
Once you feel comfortable there, select the #sortinghat channel to move into it. Here you should find another pinned message explaining the uses of this channel. Follow the instructions! This is key for finding the groups where you’ll fit best!
After you’ve been sorted, you should be able to see at least one new channel. Feel free to move into it and say hello.
Try out the other channels! Most of them will have a pinned message to show you what the channels are used for, and most of the titles should be self-explanatory.
That’s the basics! Take advantage of the message systems here on Tumblr, or use our #help channel on Discord if you have questions!
Roles
If you’ve made it to the #sortinghat stage, you’ll be introduced to the idea of roles. Roles allow the administrators to determine which permissions you have as a user and what channels are available to you. For the Blues Group Chat our main concern at this stage is making sure users of all ages have a space tailored for them where they can be comfortable and safe.
At this point we have created only four roles:
Administrators - @davidbackass and @onhomeice are admins. This may change in the future.
Beta Wizards - This role has a lot of managerial power and has access to all channels, as well as security abilities which allow us to ban, kick, or mute users who fail to follow community rules.
Blue Notes - This role is for users who are 18 and older. This role is not granted any special permissions other than access to the Blue Notes only channels, and exclusion from the Baby Blues only channels.
Baby Blues - This role is for users who are under 18. As with the Blue Notes role, this role does not have any special permissions other than access to the Baby Blues only channels, and exclusion from the Blue Notes only channels.
If you are ready to join, send this blog, @davidbackass or @onhome a message and you will receive an invite link!
