Commissions in support of MN immigrant communities
I grew up in Minnesota. It's painful and sickening to see the terror being enacted against my neighbors there. I have close friends and family who are on the front lines doing work against the ICE occupation.
As a way to help from afar, I will be doing character art commissions in exchange for proof/receipt of donation to one of these groups recommended by Stand With Minnesota:
UNIDOSMN
Immigrant Law Center of MN
Immigrant Rapid Response Fund
(Stand With Minnesota provides links to many good organizations and personal funds to donate to and I encourage you to donate outside of the ones in this post if you are able; these are just the ones I have opted to support with these commissions.)
I am also offering these commissions at a discount, in the hopes that the price will not be a barrier to making these donations.
I can be contacted by tumblr message or by email to [email protected]. Please do not send proof of donation until after your commission request has been accepted and the price is agreed upon. Please read the terms below before sending a request.
Will draw: Humanoid OCs, D&D characters, fantasy/historical armor and weapons, complex poses
Won't draw: furries, mecha, gore, NSFW content
Price is calculated per-character, with up to 2 included in each commissioned illustration. The second character per commission is half the price of the first. I am not offering larger group illustrations at this time.
A 10% discount will be applied to the full price of the drawing if detailed refs are provided. Detailed refs include things like: art by other artists, reference photos, picrews, heroforge models, or detailed text descriptions of the character's appearance.
You may not use my art for NFTs or AI training of any kind.
One check for major changes (ex. change in pose, body type, full outfit) during the rough sketch phase and on check for minor adjustments (ex. minor color adjustment, adding an accessory) before finalizing will be included in the commission process.
Proof of donation to one of the groups listed above must be provided before work on the commission will begin. This can be a screenshot of the confirmation or an email receipt forwarded to [email protected]. The donation must be for a value of at least the agreed upon price of the commission. Remember that I cannot refund you anything that you donate at any time.
It's been almost 10 years since this drawing. You were in a lot of pain in this moment and in this time of your life in general. You don't know it yet, but your gender isn't the only thing dragging you through the muck. You've got some tough things in store--oh, you can't even imagine.
But you'll still be here in 10 years, and, critically, you'll be so glad that you are. You have barely over 3 years until you start testosterone. You'll start therapy soon, too, and that pervasive feeling of "what's wrong with me" will start to fade. In a few years you'll meet the love of your life (though you won't know it for a few more).
You will move to a new place far away and start a new life, but it won't involve as much of the cutting ties and burning bridges as you imagine. Actually, you'll be putting in a lot more effort to keep your loved once close, in spite of the distance. You'll feel proud of the life you made for yourself. And you'll be so, so happy that you lived to see it.
Right now these things feel so far away, but you're not crazy for thinking there might be something better in store for you. That hope is going to be the most important thing in the world for you. Hold onto it.
When I was 15 I had the daydream of dying my hair, changing my name, and moving somewhere far away to start my life over. I'm glad I didn't, but man could you imagine
To be fair to both of them, you might not recognize each other right away after like 15 years apart. you might be on the edge of killing each other at first. but it's fine
turned my monitors to greyscale and doodled an iden with a color palette my partner picked for me without knowing what the colors actually were. I'm very happy with it but I always love a sunset color scheme lol
we finally met Kailu's daughter, Dahlia, in-game, which means I can post the drawings I've done of her (as well as Kailu's post-canon son, Ausmas) over the past 3 years!
This was my first year doing artfight, and though I only got a few attacks done I'm still really proud that I finally jumped in and gave it a try, and I'm definitely looking forward to next year!
These attacks are @plushcowz's Henry, @vulpinecircuitry's Ash and Thomas, and @/Concernicus_Bones's Relo'Myre <3
