One of my favorite little details in Monsters University is how Randall gets progressively more confident after each Scare Games trial. He starts out with a shy little wave, but by the final game he looks like he actually believes in himself. It's so goddamn cute, I love him finding his confidence even if it's with the wrong crowd.

personally i think if mike was never randall’s roomie i feel like Randall would have stayed roughly the same? but maybe not because of him joining ROR after sully gets kicked out? Or he would reject the offer? honestly i’m like real inquisitive about what he could have turned out if certain events didn’t happen, i also wonder what fungus could have been like if it weren’t for Randall never ever actually treating him that way? like i know at the end of monsters inc we see like a small glimpse of him actually having lots of fun and looks like he’s genuinely happy and and idk maybe they could have been best buds? idk man

I just spent a very long time thinking about an AU where there’s a second dimension in the Monsters, Inc. universe. And one day, in his free time, Randall builds a strange door that doesn’t open into the human world, but into the 2nd dimension - where everything is the same, except Randall has taken over Monstropolis. And all because one day he managed to pull off his scream extractor plan.
