Here’s my piece (featuring the Morrigan from Irish mythology) for Light Grey Art Lab’s new show, The End is Nigh! They’re now having a presale on the book that collects all the works featured in the exhibition, so check out their page for more info on that! Prints are also available here. If you’re in the Minneapolis area, be sure to go by their gallery to see the show in person!
✨❄️happy yule to you all❄️✨

A teaser of a larger, personal piece I am nearly ready to show you guys!

How many incarcerated people actually need to be rehabilitated, really? How many people just need a decent income, or better quality of life overall, or steady childcare, or to not be punished for made-up crimes?
American culture is so self-righteous and vindictive. We make up arbitrary rules and then destroy people's lives when they don't follow them. And then we have the gall to situate the problem in the rule-breakers and not in the system we've built? If it weren't obviously about money and power it would be totally unhinged. As it is, it's just vile.
it is human nature to weave strings of yarn, threads, or fibers together to make cloth and textiles
humans will see a soft cellulose plant material or downy animal coat and say is anyone going to twist that staple fibre in order to make a cohesive thread and then not wait for an answer
