How does anyone think they’re not married at this point.
The pain when he asks them to tell his beloved that he may never come back… I don't know about you, but it seems to me that they had plans for when he returned.
Look, I don't know much about time issues and things like that, but I'll try to explain my point of view. Alternate versions are still the same person, who had a different experience. Think about yourself from the past, you're different now, aren't you? But are all your past versions no longer you? No. There is no alternate Chakotay, it's the same person. I know it's hard to think about time travel with our limited three-dimensional vision, but try to see it this way: all our choices open up possibilities for alternate realities. Imagine you're walking down a street and you don't know whether to go left or right. Okay, in our limited physical vision, only one thing happened, but in the quantum vision, there were at least two realities that were fragmented from that choice. Going right, you would experience certain situations, going left, you would experience other different situations, but you would still be you whether you made either choice. The truth is, we do this all the time with every choice we make. And it is true that Chakotay, who spent 10 years isolated on a planet, had his life changed, but because of the experience he had, not because he was from an alternate reality. If we take the Mirror Universe from the Star Trek universe, we could say that they are different versions of the original person, but in alternate realities, it is the same person, who lived different experiences.
This is absolutely true. The Admiral Janeway that came back to get Voyager home is still Kathryn Janeway. She’s just Kathryn Janeway if she lost Chakotay. She came back to ensure that she doesn’t lose him. It’s the same woman. That’s why she had to die in order for the younger Janeway to take over.
Chakotay and Harry in Timeless lived those 15 years. They just don’t remember it.
Chakotay in Prodigy *is* the same Chakotay who left in the Protostar. Just because he was in AC alternate timeline doesn’t mean it’s a different Chakotay.
**going to the clip above…
After that communication ended, Zero, the telepath says, “The pain. Admiral, we didn’t know. That was the moment the kids knew what was at stake. That it was more than retrieving her old first officer. She was going after the man she loves.
Year of Hell - The birthday present 🕒🥹🥰
The time it didn't happen...
And the time it did...
...At least in my head! LOL
I do love to imagine that Chakotay did give her the watch eventually! I have various headcanons about this, but I decided to set this one on Janeway's birthday, mainly because the idea of the crew wearing birthday hats made me chuckle to myself! 😆🥰 Enjoy!
I hope this brightens your day! ❤️
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Don’t know how I missed this, but, Awww! I absolutely love this!
so about that time loop. about the ourobouros thing. this all happened before and it will happen again. they'll always find the ship and they'll always find each other. they'll save each other from tars lamora. they'll send the ship back to save themselves, like they did before, like they will again over and over and over, because if they don't, the world falls apart, because it's simply not meant to be any other way. there cannot be a universe where they are not together. talk about intertwined. talk about inextricably bound. they send the ship back and seal the fate of their past selves to meet because of it. they doom themselves. they save themselves, by sending them back hope, but not just the ship. the translator. they save their past selves by bringing them together. you need to be together. head in hands, genuinely unwell about this

STAR TREK: VOYAGER // S2E15: Threshold
Happy Threshold Day, everyone!
god i really do love quark so much. he really is that bitch right?
I feel like we seriously need to talk about these gifs: The oh so gentle way he reaches out and caresses her arm, as much emotional as physical steadying. The way they turn their faces towards each other in perfect unison. The way they react to jostling somehow by going towards each other (rather than in the same direction)… like their instinct is to come together for support no matter the circumstances.
Also they both just look really pretty here with their perfect hands and her romantically starting to fall out of its confines hair and their worried little faces and perfect profiles and sad eyebrow raises and glorious cheekbones and his oh so kissable lips.
This so perfect.
You can see that even with the whole crew around them they seek comfort and assurance in each other.
She doesn’t just take his arm - he lays his hand over hers. This is such an intimate gesture. (Also why did that woman have to walk in front of them right then?)
Now look at that. That’s not just relief, that’s “I need to touch you all over to make sure you’re really not dead” relief.
That’s “Let me truly look at you again before I leave you for two seconds in case you die on me again”
And finally, this is “I’ve seen half of my crew down, but Oh God, not him, please not him” angst.
These two are just so close and intimate with each other.
You called?
What I'm learning from making my way through star trek, is that you gotta stick with it and make it through season 1 on whatever star trek you're on right now.
White-knuckle through the rough patches as if your life depended on it, cause they really have no idea what they're doing first season. These writers are just throwing ideas at the wall and using the break between s1 and s2 to see what sticks.
Characters, plot points, relationships. Come s2 everything will feel much smoother. And you'll have way more fun. I promise.
There's an Admiral Chekote in Ds9 and they pronounce it exactly as they do Chakotay. I'm having adrenaline spikes every time someone says that name.
I made it to season 2 of ds9!!! All I can say for now is, it's even more funny now that there's people out there who think star trek is not political.
Robert Beltran on the Delta Flyers being asked what he remembers from voyager and he goes: "oh I remember shattered." He doesn't remember that it's called starfleet but he does remember what happens in shattered and the episode name on top. Coincidence? I think not.
