I’m sorry but did she save a dying music industry from debt and introduce a new era of music, fashion, and arts that would last decades after the ‘peak’ of her career? Has any of her albums INDIVIDUALLY sold over 100 million records, breaking the world record for most albums sold? How about that Grammy count? 8 in one night? Has she broken any records? Did she change the public’s view of what a black artist should be so that we could have artists In every genre known to man? Did she have stretchers on hand during her concerts for fans that would pass out BEFORE she even came out to the stage? Did she set the standard for all artists to follow, making the entire industry step their game up with music videos and live performances? Did she continually get standing ovations from auditoriums full of her peers (all respected legendary musicians) every single time he gave a live performance and even when he didn’t give performances? Did she recieve lifetime achievement awards before the age of 24? Is she one of the biggest humanitarians In the world? Does she even write her own songs? If she doesn’t do any of that (plus more) then she ain’t that damn important.
