Two more test examples of how lovely these new Prisma color pencils look. Both of these images bring me back to a time during and slightly before my childhood when colors looked sort of washed out and faded, pastels and crazy hair styles ruled the world and 80's anime was still the norm. I especially enjoy the more humanoid of the two seeing as she reminds me of a more classic illustration style with a slightly more modern twist. Meanwhile the Ram horned girl reminds me of the stain glass windows and faded out colored floors of the house my grandmother owned. Where I spend most of my childhood years in..It gives me a very comforting feeling.

So I reached a point in this blog where I didn't have the time to be active but now I have more time to manage it. So when I looked back in I saw that I actually had followers! Oh gosh, where do I begin?? Thank you all so much for finding my art enjoyable and for showing me your interest and support. I've gotten some really sweet messages and advice and I am just so happy that people enjoy my content, my art and what I use to express myself. Recently I got my hands on a lovely travel sized Sketch pad for around 8 dollars or so at a local comic convention and it is a thick paper mixed media one that said that it can take ink well. So I tested it out the first day I bought it and I must say that I really enjoyed the paper texture and how it allowed the ink to flow. They came out surprisingly well for being pieces that I doodled at a restaurant table while waiting for my meal. Hope you guys enjoy them, I'll be posting a few more sketches later today :D

I recently managed to buy some really nice colored pencils and I got the chance to try them out on a new drawing. They are lovely and the pencils are smooth, pigmented and blend very, very well <3

How to waste your talent while losing your friends all at once because all you care about is money: A tumblr guide on how to be a cunt to those who admire you.

Imagine if the Mona Lisa was a commission and s/he had no money.

the mona lisa was a commission you shitshill, that’s how artists make a fucking living. it’s how we get the money to pay for things we need, because we don’t want to spend all our time working in a shitty job instead of doing things that are important to us, like working on personal projects or spending time with people we like. by thinking that you deserve free art is basically telling them “your time and skill isn’t worth anything but my personal enjoyment!” and if someone only wanted to be friends with me for free art, i don’t want that friendship because that sounds like an awful friend. artists are people with lives and often art is our only source of income and if you really admired us you would understand and support that.

i still laugh at how someone thought the mona lisa was a free painting. my god.

People make commissions for a reason: to make money. You need to pay people to provide you with services. Any artist who does it for free is a saint.

OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS.

Guys. I am finally open for commissions, I will be posting more info later but right now I will at least say that I will be willing to do commissions for a few months in order to save up money for some very much needed things such as a new fan. Where I live at can get into the 90+ range in heat and I have been sleeping without a fan for a year. (Life sucks, I know)

Anyways. I’ll be doing both physical and digital portraits mostly and some mid body drawings. Prices will range from 10-15 dollars for almost all the pieces and might go up a dollar or two for more complex ones.

I will only charge an extra dollar for each simple additional character added and 2-3 dollars for more complex additions.

My payment method for now will be PayPal and I will ask for half the money up front and half when the job is finished.

I will gladly do any OC’s, video game characters, anime or manga characters as well and I can even offer to design a character for you and hand draw a small character sheet for about 12 dollars. It includes four or more face sketches and one full body pose.

I am more than willing to work until we get a satisfactory product and I can change minor things around. But please do not abuse this.
