He couldn’t help but feel happy at this news. Penelope really needed someone. If she had found someone, and had stayed with them this long… yes, this was good news, indeed!
"As long as you keep in contacts," he said, giving her precious advice. "Don’t lose contact. Make sure to do special things for him, and he better do things for you in return. If he doesn’t… send him to me."
He let out a dark chuckle, jokingly of course. He makes a gesture across his throat, meaning he’d slit his jugular if he mistreated her. But once again, all in jest, all jokingly… with a hint of actual genuine truth. Aldous was just like that though.
He didn’t break the hug, not for the life of him. “Keheh, ja, you did.” He paused, then decided to speak some of the truth this time around. “I said I vas okay, but honestly I can’t sleep. I haven’t slept for days. Nightmares keep me awake.”
The mere thought of Turbo ending up with a cut jugular was enough for the Pyro to draw back just a bit, even letting up her hold on Aldous a bit as she drew a bit of a gasp.
He might have been joking about it, but she took it seriously.
"Oh no! Pookie would end up hurtin' ya. Didja know that he really did a numbah on that mean red Spy? Ya know? The one with the scars on 'is face? I foahgot his name. S'been a while since I've seen him around heah, but he had a purple girlfriend."
Her face, at least, the good half of it, formed a childish pout at the news of him not getting a whole lot of sleep. Weren't nightmares a common thing for him? She tried to recall the last time that they really talked. It was when she was introducing him to Turbo, and anything after that was all a blur. Something with a policeman and Aldous almost being taken from Coldfront.
"Don'tchya gots some of those magic sleepy pills?"
