Thal: Good morning, dear child.

Nald: Our happiness only grows with your lovely words for us, but what is this about not feeling good? Are you unwell?

Thal: Is your mood dragged low by the cold as of late?

Nald: That will not do, whatever it may be... You are quite beloved... No, it would not do at all for this to go on.

Thal: We would hope that you feel much better with haste.

What is your divine opinion on the difference between faith and knowledge?

Thal: You can know of something and have no faith in it.

Nald: In the same vein, you can have faith in something you are shaky with. You children have demonstrated this time and again.

Thal: Would you like to elaborate on your question? We would answer fully whatever it is you wish to glean from us.

Merely idle curiosity from one who has met to many gods to have faith in them.

Nald: Ah. Well it is only natural to come to this position, then.

Thal: Though now we are somewhat curious about a matter aside faith... If you would indulge us. What would you class as a god true? That those who look to said entity calls it as such?

Nald: It is something we ponder.

Do you guys ever get dizzy constantly swapping torsos around? How does it feel having to share a single pair of legs between you? Could someone like another god potentially make off with that pair of legs into the aether, leaving just your torso with no legs? Not to imply anything untoward, more so a hypothetical question over how your body works.

Thal: No, we do not become dizzy. It would be a grand joke if we were able.

Nald: Divine comedy of the highest order, hm?

Thal: -suppresses a laugh-

Nald: Sharing between us is a non-issue. Where one goes, the other follows happily.

Thal: For the most part. If we are divided on where we wish to go, then we split.

Nald: As for taking our legs... Well, none have tried as of yet. If we were somehow reduced to a weakened state it may be possible.

Thal: But the cycle of life and death yet remains. Under ordinary circumstances, such a state would never happen.

Nald: Good morning, dearest child.

Thal: Hopefully today finds you well. Stay warm. We wish you comfort.

Nald: If it is strength you ask for, then I shall give my all! Ah, we—

For the rest of the Twelve, watching the Twin Gods get into an argument was a most distressing affair.

Their feuds, though eloquently worded, were often so heated that they would lose track of themselves. Tussah and brocade and great wings all would flutter and flap around them as their shared body would make rounds. So absorbed in their tussles they would get, sometimes the others would happen upon the twins wandering aimlessly into other domains, no longer in control of their lower body let alone the ability to fly.

It was not any less bizzare any time one would see it.

And the sound. What was usually a light and pleasant chime of harmonious accord as one yielded to another becoming a grinding and screeching of metal. As if something were being rent in two.

How ironic a description that was, for of all the times they could divide and settle an affair, an argument was decidedly not one they deigned to split over… It was rare, at least. They often remained joined even as they fumed and raged at the other.

Mayhaps out of some internal wish not to actually harm themselves? Each other..? It was always an exercise in futility to ponder over the nature of their union, but they tended to act as if they were two, even if they argued the contrary. And perhaps that is why they got along so well most of the time despite their polarising natures. They only ever saw each other as an extension of the other—and that’s what they are, make no mistake, but…

Well, it didn’t matter as of right then, because they were still arguing and it was still annoying having them in another Heaven for absolutely no reason, polluting the airspace with their incessant bickering and shifting of metal.

good morning! today i pray that Nald'thal has a safe and good day. the weather here is endless cold and grey, so i wish i could see the sun as you do - i haven't been warm in so long... but i'll do my best for you even so! - D

Thal: You have returned to us again.

Nald: Good morning and a pleasant one to you as well! ... You say it is cold?

Thal: And grey. Is the grey so bad? Would the instances of colour not be much more noticable?

Nald: Mm.. Much easier to appreciate.

Thal: Do not be down about it, dearest child. Your day has only just begun.

Thal: Mountain.

Nald: Thal.

Thal: That is what the tale says, no?

Nald: Well, I am sure our scribe here wished for something a little more defined...

Thal: I would have thought it obvious. -pondering- Gold and silver, cobalt and gemstones. Silk brocade and tussah, though you children may know it as vanya. Many of these are found in and around the Aldenard region.

Nald: We shall not venture into what may be incomprehensible for you.

Thal: Why such interest in our composition of all things?

Thal: You do not annoy us by returning, no. In fact, it is comforting to know our children wish to come back to us. Please do continue.

Nald: We very much enjoy growing closer to you. Why would we not?

Thal: Mm.. We hope you the same peace you wish upon us.

Nald: Mm.. It is only unfortunate that we are so limited in how we can express it.
