Hello, hello! Welcome to my account!

I just wanted to blow the dust off my boogie bot oc, Sweet, and my version of the Angel/Butcher, Nico! Planning to do a larger fic for these two, so I’m hoping this’ll help me flesh them out fully ^-^

Rules

be respectful. You know the drill. No homophobia, no racism, no transphobia, remember the golden rule and all that

No nsfw or suggestive questions, Sweet is still a child and should be treated as such. Nico is an adult, but I’m definitely not going to post things like that were minors can easily access

I’m on the autism spectrum, so I have a hard time picking up cues. If something passes over my head, it’s very likely it wasn’t intentional. And if I’ve done something to upset you, please let me know!

I’m also in college, so I may be busy at certain points. If I’ve gone more than a few days without replying, feel free to send a message! Hate to leave you hanging.

That being said, you don’t need to have a reason to message me. Be it plots or aus or whatever, I just really wanna rant about this game with people :)

And now without further ado, the duo themselves!

Nico Flores: The Butcher. Or the Angel, whatever you wanna call her. 

An urban exploring attempt caused her to get trapped within the factory, and now she’s trying to find her way out. Or at least, that was the plan, before she wound up on the radar of a giant metal spider.

Strong willed and hot headed, but friendly with a good heart. She’s determined not to let this place break her, but it’s going to put up one hell of a fight

Nico talks “Like this.”

Why does this place feel so familiar?

Sweet: The Bot. 

A boogie bot who was destroyed and only brought back online recently thanks to Nico putting his pieces on the Make-A-Friend machine. It hasn’t worked perfectly though, his voice box is beyond repair. It doesn’t slow him down, he can still communicate through Morse code, and now he's guiding her through the factory.

He’s seen a lot of things he shouldn’t, but still remains kind and gentle, if somewhat skittish. Smaller toys are much easier to pick off. Despite that, he remains loyal and hopeful everyone will get their happy ending one day

Sweet talks .-.. .. -.- . / - .... .. ... .-.-.- (Like this.)

He knows why. But is it better for her to know the truth, or remain oblivious?

Nico let out a small sound of exertion as she crawled out of an air duct. Sweet, far smaller and no longer having a reason or the joints to crawl, had already made it through and was waiting for her on the other side.

Nico could definitely feel something starring at her, but she tried to shrug the feeling off. “Not like we got much of a choice.”

[There isn’t any bigger body, nor the Prototype himself, on the other side of the air duct. Nothing to immediately to place the feeling on, until you notice a peculiar looking toy, which appears to be many toys stitched together into a singular experiment. It is watching you, but otherwise unmoving. Next to it is a dark rectangle (aka the tablet but you can’t tell that in the low lighting)]

[Preston watches as the pair exit the air duct, wishing he could warn them to leave but being unable - helpless, always helpless - to do so. The Prototype is away right now, having gone to upgrade the security after ranting to him for an hour about its flaws as if they were somehow his fault, but he wouldn’t be gone for long. Especially with that air duct not being secured right now. Preston hoped whatever they were here for was a quick in-out operation]

“Ugh, damn place looks like a slaughterhouse.” Nico placed Sweet back in his rightful spot on her shoulder. .- -. -.. / - …. . / .-. . … - / --- ..-. / - …. . / ..-. .- -.-. - --- .-. -.-- / -.. --- . … -. .-..-. - ..--.. (and the rest of the factory doesn’t?)

A laugh. “You know what I mean, peanut gallery.”

This was hardly the place to be messing around though. There had to be something here about the whereabouts of the orphans. There was no way they were all dead, or at least Nico hoped there wasn’t.

After a few moments of searching, they unwittingly gotten to where Preston. Nico was about to reach for the tablet when her hand bumped into hard plastic. Knocked out of her train of thought, she could see it was not only a bunch of toy parts clumsily stitched together, but also there was very clearly someone in there. “…oh god…”

[The experiment isn’t moving, save for his eyes, which are watching you (with sadness perhaps, but it’s nigh impossible to tell) and the faintest indication of breathing. Barely alive, yet not allowed to die either. His eternal punishment]

[As for the tablet, the motion activates it, and after a brief period of initialisation with a logo you’ve never seen before (certainly not Playtime Co’s) it turns on, switching into ‘Interaction Mode’, whatever that is, and making a pinging noise; startling in the uneasy stillness of the air]

[Preston’s eyes dart over to it warily, but he finds that instead of an ask (which typically will have a microphone icon below it for Proto to answer through) there is merely a prompt ‘Speak.’ and a keyboard beneath it, with a mouse that… responds to his eye movements?]

[What?]

[Had he… finally been given a way to speak again?]

[He tried to use it, mouse shakily going to and pressing down on letters]

Yep, someone was definitely in there. It was unnerving, to see eyes darting about, but the body unable to move.

“Can…can you hear me…?” She swallowed, throat dry. “My name’s Nico, can you say that back to me?”

it was a double edged sword, wasn’t it? Whoever was in there might know something, about where all the orphans went. On the other, hand, whatever they say could be wrong, they could be leading the duo into a trap. They could easily rat them out to the prototype.

Still, what choice did she actually have? This might be the only chance she has to get straightforward information.

”…we have questions.”

[Using a tablet to speak when you have to press every character on the keyboard by staring at it for 5 seconds was slow going. Preston would have to be careful not to waste too much time]

[He wished he could risk them staying here. He hadn’t had a proper conversation in… however long it had been. But he already had enough death weighing on his conscience]

"Sorry man, we cant leave just yet." She paused for a moment, waiting for any sign it was coming back. "We need to know where the orphans are.. He had to have mention something about where he took them. A floor, a lab, anything." Nico hated how desperate she must be sounding, but she hated about all of those people stuck with the Prototype.

Sweet simply looked at Preston, a look of sympathy in his eyes. He understood what it was like loosing the ability to talk altogether.

[Oh… the orphans. Preston vaguely knew of where they’d been taken to, though the place… had a rather confusing name. And he had no idea if they were still alive. The Prototype hadn’t mentioned them in a while]

<IT IS LOCATED IN THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF THE LABS. BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER THEY ARE ALIVE>

[He hoped that was enough information to get them to leave. The TTS was quite loud, after all, and he felt like the Prototype wouldn’t be gone much longer]

[In the shadows a camera stealthily swivelled to look at them, though no red light blinked, having been taken out of the design]

"Sounds like that's our next stop." Thank god too, this place was giving her the creeps.

Sweet turned back to Nico pointing a claw at the toy. .-- . / …. .- …- . / - --- / -… .-. .. -. --. / …. .. -- / .-- .. - …. / ..- … (we have to bring him with us)

"Sweet, you know we can't..." She didn't want to say the second half out loud. Its not like she wanted to abandon the guy either, but if the Prototype had him here, in a wide open space, he would definitely notice if the toy suddenly went missing.

She cut off that train of thought as the camera caught her attention, her stomach plummeting. "We gotta go. Now."

[The Prototype had been having a great day. If you ignored the whole ‘displacement from your home universe into a different one where none of your security carried over and you no longer had that task you’d been working on for a decade to complete’ part. But that technically happened yesterday and he was finee, everything was just. fine, and anyway the implementation of the new security was going well. It was a very fixable issue. He even got visited by multiple Catnaps! Which was perfectly fine and normal]

[They had been having a great day. Until they went back to grab the last batch of upgraded cameras and heard voices inside one of their most important rooms. Someone had broken in. And the intruder was with Preston]

[Check the cameras, diagnose the threat]

[It was an Outsider and a boogie bot. Neither were recognisable. The toy seemed to lack a voicebox. Preston was looking at the tablet. Why was he-]

[You both aren’t given the chance to leave before the Prototype bursts through the door, picking Nico up by the head. Not pressing down hard enough to kill/seriously injure her, but he isn’t gentle either. She’ll definitely have a headache later, but for now she’s left dangling, as he glares at her. Not even pretending his mask can’t move. Just straight up glaring]

[…At least Sweet is being ignored right now?]

[…Paranoid much? Kinda suspicious how Preston talking to someone is more of a threat than the fact that someone managed to get into their top secret area via an air duct]

[Preston meanwhile is horrified. And helpless]

Nico let out a yelp as she was yanked into the air, claws digging into her skin. “Jeez, careful with those, you’re gonna take someone’s eye out!” She gritted her teeth as the grip grew tighter.

There were several other sly remarks on the tip of her tongue. How ugly he was, how he smelled like death even more than she did when she was cut off by a series of panicked beeps. She could still see Sweet out of the corner of her eye, staring up at them, eyes full of panic. She couldn’t risk pissing off the Prototype and hurting her even more. Not where Sweet could see.

“Just that we wandered too far. Nothing more, nothing less. I dunno what else to tell you.”

Oh this was such a bad idea, but Sweet was desperate. He needed help, and needed it badly.

He rolled in, screen flashing so rapidly he was almost like a strobe light.

"AUGH—what the?! Who's flashin' like a maniac over 'ere?"

Suddenly being taken off guard by the abrupt presence of the apparently distressed Boogie Bot, the chihuahua-like critter scampered over to where there were and tried to calm them down in the process.

"Hey! Hey, rest your gears! What's the matter with ya?"

Sweet was still very much on edge. He missed his voice box, god this would be so much easier if he could still talk like a normal person-

Sweet shook his head from side to side, forcing himself to slow down and knock himself out of the spiral. A panic attack wouldn’t help her, and he couldn’t risk scaring off someone who could. …. . .-.. .--. .-.-.- / .--. .-.. . .- … . .-.-.- (Help. Please.)

Not as eloquent as he’d like, but it was the very best he could do right now.

Nico stared up at the security cameras, brow furrowed.

"Shush." She motioned at the camera, it making slight movements to match her own. "...something's watching"

The camera's lense shutter constricts and retracts, before a speaker nearby turns on. "I didn't expect anyone to be here after so long..." A voice crackles through, tired and gentle. The camera studies Nico and Sweet closely.

"Right..." Nico placed a protective hand over Sweet, clearly not trusting the voice over the speaker. Could she be blamed for it? She was practically a walking dinner for any of the starving toys down here.

Within a more "safe" section of the factory lay three figures.

A large Long Legs Bigger Body is curled up around an adult of ambiguous gender like they're a teddy bear. Both are sound asleep while a teen in a frog beanie holding a shock rod keeps watch.

Normally the boys guardian and elder sister wouldn't have him keeping watch like this, but they still need to recover from past injuries. They need the rest.

Sweet rolled in, treads softly wirring. He doesn’t usually go off without his companion, but these sections of the factory were usually safe. Besides, Nico was more preoccupied with scavenging for supplies, and he got (admittedly) kind of bored.

He almost jumped seeing a Bigger Body but once the initial shock passed, he could see that they were wrapped protectively around a pair of humans. Not protective in the way someone would be over a hoard of food, but trying to keep their loved ones close. Now that he was actually looking, he could see they were fast asleep. And…hurt.

He wasn’t sure if they noticed him yet, but he rolled in closer, slowly this time.

Jake felt his ears twitch at the faint sound. His head immediately jerked in the direction of its origin, thumb hovering over the button to turn on the shock rod.

Failing to see any large threats he looked down.

A...Boogie Bot? Huh...he can't remember the last time he saw a living one in this hell hole.

Sweet was wary of the rod, but still approached slowly. his concern for the group overriding the nervousness.

He stopped right in front of the boy's feet, and slowly flashed .-- …. .- - / …. .- .--. .--. . -. . -.. ..--.. (what happened?)

Not for the first time, he felt annoyance for not having a voice box, but this would have to do.

Jake squinted for a moment. "Uh...that's Morse code right? Hold on a moment."

He reached over one of Stretch's legs to a schoolbag and pulled out a notebook and a pencil. He then slowly translated Sweets words via writing.

"'What...happened?'...we had a run in with a certain cat and Aggie was an idiot." He explained, eyes glancing warily at Stretch's bandaged abdomen. They we so lucky that no organs were pierced. They'll need to change the bandages soon.

The boy handed the smaller toy the notebook and pencil. "Can you write?"

Sweet flinched slightly at the mention of a cat, he clearly knew what Jake was referring to.

He slowly approached Jake's waiting hand, how long has it been since he's seen a pencil? He tried to grab the pencil, it slipping out of his claws the first few times, letting out an annoyed beep with each attempt. God he misses having thumbs.

He finally managed to get a grip and managed to write, albeit incredibly shakily, "hi".

Jake had to stop himself from showing his amusement at the little robots attempts to hold the pencil. It wasn't funny or cute Jake. This was a person who clearly missed having thumbs.

The boy did let himself smile when Sweet finally succeeded however.

"Hi." Jake said back. "Do you have a name? I'm Jake."

He pauses for a moment, almost internally debating. Then, in messy scrawl, "Hi Jake. I'm Sweet".

A pause, trying not to loose grip on the pencil. "My friend can help."

Jake's eyes betrayed his distrust. "Who's your friend?" Or what. He subconsciously added.

A groan sounded behind them. "Kid? Who're you talkin' to?" Ray mumbled as they roused from sleep. The giant toy holding them was still out cold.

"A Boogie Bot found us." He said pointing to the toy. "They say their name is Sweet and that they have a friend who can help. Not sure if I trust it though."

Oh boy. Even when he was a human, drawing was never his strong suit. But he had to try. He wasn’t sure he could even write it out without loosing his grip all together.

He tried to draw Nico the best he could, round face, freckles, dark curly hair. He was hoping the fact she was human would at least make them open to the idea.

under the doodle, he wrote “friend :)” with an arrow pointing to it.

Ray started at the bot and its picture, their eyes squinted in both confusion and grogginess. "Huh." They rubbed the sleep from their eyes and began to sit up. "Okay." They grunted.

Stretch whined in her sleep as Ray started moving. The adult just patted her head to reassure her.

Sweet let out a confused beeps of his own. Things have gone to hell down here, but oddities didn't go unnoticed. It was how Nico, the Angel, the Butcher was recognized at least. But Sweet hadn't heard anything about any other new humans or an orange Longlegs, and it seems like they hadn't heard of him or her either.

Still, he drew a picture of a bandaid next to the doodle of her, motioning between the two with the pencil, hoping this would be enough to get the message across.

Ray hummed at the drawing. "You're friend has supplies I'm guessing?" They ran their hand through their hair out of nervous habit and sighed. "They aren't too far are they? I'm already taking a risk trusting you and I don't want Stretch getting more hurt than she is."

Jake looked at Ray surprised. "Huh. I thought I would have to convince you more."

"We're running low on supplies and what little medical knowledge I know is catered to humans." Ray dug through the school bag and pulled out what looked to be a stack of random documents. They seem to skim through the papers one by one. "We haven't found Stretch's file yet. We haven't even even found anything for 1222, 1223, or any other Long Legs experiments except for some behavioral and incident reports. We need all the help we can get."

Ray felt the toy wrapped around them tense. They looked down at her face and tried not to feel an immediate dread at what they saw.

Wide eyes with pupils so dilated you can barely tell they're supposed to be green. Eyes staring straight into the unfamiliar humans soul.

Stretch had woken up, her body coiled up as if preparing to lunge at the stranger.

Ray immediately rested a hand on her head. "Calm down Stretch. They're not our enemy. Not right now at least."

Stretch stared at Ray for a moment before relaxing, her eyes becoming more docile looking. "Okay..."

"Aggie's hurt pretty bad." Jake said with worry.

"No. You're not." Ray looked Nico up and down. Analyzing. It was similar to a certain doctor, though there was an empathy in their gaze that was lacking in his. "How involved are you in this? How much do you know?"

“I don’t know much, but I do know plenty of first aid. I know your friend there needs help. And I know my friend…” she motioned down to Sweet. “Seems to think you’re ok, and I trust his judgment.”

Nico let out a sheepish laugh. Maybe a bit too theatrical on her part, she always struggled to read the room. "Eh, don't worry. We've been scavenging first aid kits, you're more than welcome to help yourself to our stuff. My only concern is if you need pills or pain killers or that kind of stuff, most of what we've found's been pretty far past the expiration date."

Still she grinned. "but yeah. The Name's Nico. And I've seen you guys already met Sweet. Who are you?"

"Ray. That's Jake." The former employee pointed at the teenager who waved. "The Long Legs is Agatha. Only I'm allowed to call her Stretch. She gets mad if anyone else does so fair warning."

The toy gave an appreciative nod.

Ray circled around and stopped at Aggie's bandaged abdomen.

"As for what we'd need...some disinfectant definitely. I don't know if a toy can die from an infection, but I'd rather not risk it. If Stretch were a human or even a plush toy like the Wuggies or the Critters we would just need to stitch up the wound, but she's not." Ray seemed to mumble to themselves in consideration. "We might need to cauterize it...The expired pain killers aren't ideal, but they're better than nothing."

The giant toy flinched at the overheard possibility of burning her plastic to close the wound.

"Don't give me that look Stretch. It's either that or we risk the lower levels for poppy gel that might not even work." Ray said firmly.

”They’ll have to do, but it’s mainly the bacteria growth in them that I’m worried about.” Nico looked Stretch over, wounds thankfully showing no signs of infection. “You couldn’t find any poppy gel? Might circumvent the cauterizing, but I’ll admit I’m not very well read on the stuff.”

Ray looked hesitant for a moment but eventually decided to risk the shakey trust with these potential allies. They skimmed through the files again, mostly out of habit

"I won't say I'm an expert but...I used to work in the research department back when this place was still running. My knowledge there combined with what files we found around here led me to learn two things. One, the poppy gel that was used to create the experiments after 1006 and 1007 wasn't the original formula. It's why those two buggas don't seem to require food while the other experiments do. Two, the new formula is parasitic and can cause mutations. I genuinely don't know what would happen if we used it on her. For all I know she might grow mouths on her arse."

Stretch shudders at the mental image while Jake punches Ray on the shoulder for said mental image.

“Figures. Nothing can ever be simple down here, can it? Damn, I was really hoping to study that original formula too.” She let out a sigh. “Looks like we’ll have to cauterize her wound after all. Sweet rolled up to Stretch, worry in his screen they used to be his eyes. He clearly wanted to provide comfort, but wasn’t sure how.

The Prototype is away right now, having gone to upgrade the security after ranting to him for an hour about its flaws as if they were somehow his fault, but he wouldn’t be gone for long. Especially with that air duct not being secured right now. Preston hoped whatever they were here for was a quick in-out operation]

Knocked out of her train of thought, she could see it was not only a bunch of toy parts clumsily stitched together, but also there was very clearly someone in there. “…oh god…”

[As for the tablet, the motion activates it, and after a brief period of initialisation with a logo you’ve never seen before (certainly not Playtime Co’s) it turns on, switching into ‘Interaction Mode’, whatever that is, and making a pinging noise; startling in the uneasy stillness of the air]

[Preston’s eyes dart over to it warily, but he finds that instead of an ask (which typically will have a microphone icon below it for Proto to answer through) there is merely a prompt ‘Speak.’ and a keyboard beneath it, with a mouse that… responds to his eye movements?]

it was a double edged sword, wasn’t it? Whoever was in there might know something, about where all the orphans went. On the other, hand, whatever they say could be wrong, they could be leading the duo into a trap. They could easily rat them out to the prototype.

Still, what choice did she actually have? This might be the only chance she has to get straightforward information.

Spindly digits- easily three feet long, thin enough to skewer- reached back. Plucking something from between mismatched plates of metal, only to bring it forth with a twist of his torso.

A first-aid kit, complete with the little red 'plus' on the front- though there was a sticker in the corner that appeared to be half-flecked, ready to come off at any moment. He took a step closer, before setting himself down- legs neatly segmenting and folding themselves away under his main frame.

"I cannot promise this will not hurt, since it needs to be disinfected,...but I do have some painkillers on hand, if you would like to take those before I begin." The latch clicked, the box opening to reveal...what honestly looked like fairly standard first-aid equipment- minus a small vial of goop that would bare a striking resemblance to Poppy Gel. "Be grateful you were not hurt worse,...injuries that harm muscle and bone take far, far longer to recover from than simple surface-damage."

Within a more "safe" section of the factory lay three figures.

A large Long Legs Bigger Body is curled up around an adult of ambiguous gender like they're a teddy bear. Both are sound asleep while a teen in a frog beanie holding a shock rod keeps watch.

Normally the boys guardian and elder sister wouldn't have him keeping watch like this, but they still need to recover from past injuries. They need the rest.

Sweet rolled in, treads softly wirring. He doesn’t usually go off without his companion, but these sections of the factory were usually safe. Besides, Nico was more preoccupied with scavenging for supplies, and he got (admittedly) kind of bored.

He almost jumped seeing a Bigger Body but once the initial shock passed, he could see that they were wrapped protectively around a pair of humans. Not protective in the way someone would be over a hoard of food, but trying to keep their loved ones close. Now that he was actually looking, he could see they were fast asleep. And…hurt.

He wasn’t sure if they noticed him yet, but he rolled in closer, slowly this time.

Jake felt his ears twitch at the faint sound. His head immediately jerked in the direction of its origin, thumb hovering over the button to turn on the shock rod.

Failing to see any large threats he looked down.

He reached over one of Stretch's legs to a schoolbag and pulled out a notebook and a pencil. He then slowly translated Sweets words via writing.

"'What...happened?'...we had a run in with a certain cat and Aggie was an idiot." He explained, eyes glancing warily at Stretch's bandaged abdomen. They we so lucky that no organs were pierced. They'll need to change the bandages soon.

The boy handed the smaller toy the notebook and pencil. "Can you write?"

Sweet flinched slightly at the mention of a cat, he clearly knew what Jake was referring to.

He slowly approached Jake's waiting hand, how long has it been since he's seen a pencil? He tried to grab the pencil, it slipping out of his claws the first few times, letting out an annoyed beep with each attempt. God he misses having thumbs.

He finally managed to get a grip and managed to write, albeit incredibly shakily, "hi".

Jake had to stop himself from showing his amusement at the little robots attempts to hold the pencil. It wasn't funny or cute Jake. This was a person who clearly missed having thumbs.

The boy did let himself smile when Sweet finally succeeded however.

"Hi." Jake said back. "Do you have a name? I'm Jake."

A pause, trying not to loose grip on the pencil. "My friend can help."

"A Boogie Bot found us." He said pointing to the toy. "They say their name is Sweet and that they have a friend who can help. Not sure if I trust it though."
