How to make Paper Fans with Blow Pens!

I think I wanted to make this tutorial, because I found a set of blow pens and wanted to use them :P However, they are still a pretty good DIY to try, if you’re just getting started with papercrafts.

Simple sand art recipe! 

Materials: 

A container with a lid (we used glass salt shakers from the dollar store) 

Salt (or sugar if salt isn’t to be found) 

colorful chalk (we got ours at Michael's under 10.00) 

trays or paper plates

Steps

Pour desired amount of salt/sugar into your try and pick your favorite colored chalk

roll the chalk against the salt/sugar. You’ll see the chalk dust start to mix with the salt/sugar, turning it into the color of the chalk

Keep rolling until the color is as dark as you want. For example, the same blue chalk can make a dark sky blue or a pastel baby blue!

Use a piece of paper and tape to create a cone. Now you’ll have a simple and effective funnel to reduce mess! 

Start layer by layer. For interesting results, try making uneven layers of different colors! 

And that’s it! The kids have as much fun making the “sand” as they do filling up the bottles.
